On the prototype it was not because iPhone had just launched their (let’s call it dev kit) to make it compatible, but the final product yes it will be compatible with the new iPhones :)
Gonna wait and see how it stacks up against Galileo G8 but really, preorder because app "might" go behind a subscription paywall? So basically, it's only viable to preorder or you're gonna have expensive paperweight in the future just like BackBone is for late adopters... also release date mid-2025...

If you pre-order, you get V2 for free when it comes out and you get to keep the first version V1. But the app as is, will remain the same! Also, the expected mass production dates are May 2024!! @@CoZChristopher I can double confirm this. No paywall. This isn't even on our radar right now. We're just focused on hardware and ensuring the App is amazing and keeps users on with the stuff they need. No plans to stuff it full of features to monetize it.
I am sure my Phone will fit, but sometimes you hold the device with one Hand for example and you have to be very aware of how to hold that thing when the USB is not moving at all. Also it makes plugin the phone in and out much easier and more safe. I tested so many gamepads... The triggers of the backbone are shit, the x2pro hurts my hands, the razr kishi V2 git. a broken button after 2 weeks... The gamesir G8 is still the best of all. This one looks amazing, but if the USB port is not movable, I will not pay 149 dollar for that. :/@@CoZChristopher
@@Akasha92 hmmm I c what you’re saying. When holding one handed I think the clamping force is the most important part regarding that if it’s a nice fit. But that would definitely be a benefit. I’m gonna reach out to Gamesir and see if I can get hands on the G8!
@@CoZChristopher I think I will give it a try, because also the gamesir is not perfect. The app is not useable when you don't want to send your data to china... I preordered it now. xD M1 and M2 buttons on the back and a floating USB port would make this device perfect. Maby in a future upgrade version.

I haven’t tested the Gamesir yet but I’ll reach out to them. The biggest advantage is that this is a full sized controller and buttons, not the small size of the G8 or backbone. Second one is that it has universal phone and case fit, while the G8 is only cases up to 1mm. This one also works with most the platforms and will have software that allows you to map touch screen only games to use the actual controller. Again, I haven’t tested the Gamesir G8, but first glance that’s what I see from the specs. I’m gonna reach out to them and see if they’re open to a collaboration!

Is the USB C moveable Like the one one the gamesir Controllers? or is it stiff?
Great question! It’s stationary, you can change the inserts to fit the phone, phone case, etc.
