More than her talent what made this movie work so well was the work both did together. Ti West gave the chance and the power for Mia to manipulate and to tell the story. Both worked together and both managed to create a beautiful film, and imho a future modern classic (trilogy).
I feel like Jenna Ortega isn’t getting enough credit, she’s literally on the cover of the movie. Mia is amazing, and I still haven’t seen Pearl yet but, hopefully Friday is good and Ortega can get a chance to show what else she can do as well.

I think people use that term without knowing what it means. You can't be underrated if you've just popped up on the scene.

Can’t be understated the importance of what they’ve done for the industry as a whole. As much as people harp on the big studios (and rightfully so) we are still somehow in one of the golden ages of independent filmmaking and it’s because of a24.
I like that they wrote the movie together. They definitely didn't need improv. You could tell they had that character all the way figured out. Amazing performance by Mia Goth. One of the best horror performances I've seen.

The movies are amazing, Mia Goth is amazing (and I love her outfit and hair scarf !!) and her acting is phenomenal! And of course ti west is such a great director, I love his earlier movie house of the devil!

The closing credits scene was so disturbing, I've never seen someone smile so hard they actually began to cry from being in pain from it.
I saw it yesterday and the guy next to me said this was the longest take he ever saw. Kudos to Mia for doing that scene. And she was brilliant.
