One thing I love about going to thrift stores is finding items that I can feel souls attached to. I know some might say it’s not good to have something like that in your home, but I don’t mind it. It’s one of the reasons why I don’t cleanse any antique or thrift store items after bringing them into my home. Whenever I find items like that, it just means they were special. And I think it’s absolutely amazing. I really wish I could go shopping today ;-;
I know! I love to invite spirits and things into my home. I feel them out to see if it's malevolent or if the have bad energy in any way, but having items with a connection really helps me feel surrounded in energies to work with.
I've been seeing a lot of Thrifty Witch Dollar Store Hauls lately, so I'm SO glad this one is a witchy THRIFT STORE haul. It's much more Earth-loving and environmentally sustainable to buy secondhand items vs. new items (especially the unethically produced items you'll likely find at a Dollar Store). I used to watch craigslist all the time for supplies, and got this huge garage sale of all these amazing tools, oils, stones, tarot cards, like, the whole 9 yards. I emailed the sellers, apparently their mom was a witch and she had passed on. They lived in Cali and had no use for her craft stuff and were selling them to people they hoped would use them. I spent 150 dollars on a cabinet with like, one hundred different oils in it, a bunch of raw stones, an Arthurian tarot deck, chakra stones, a mortar and pestle, a bunch of glitter and crafting supplies, an owl figurine, and a pentacle necklace. I felt nothing but good energy from the whole thing and the people were super nice. (I got a parking ticket from where I parked the car though. That wasn't a fun surprise. My fault for parking the wrong way on the street, I guess.) They have a good home now. :)
don’t forget to look through old things you have! i was looking through a box of mine while watching this video and found at least two things for my alter, a little wooden box thing, plus some old gems i got at a gem stone panning place when i was 10...so definitely look through old boxes and things
Crazygirlontheblock sounds odd but a good idea for horned god could be going to pet store and getting a real antler (dog chew) and adorning it. My green man was so cool in that he has what looks like antlers. Triple goddess...there are cute crescent mirror moons you could buy two and use regular round mirror.
I love this! About half my altar consists of items from charity shops (British term for thrift stores) and it’s so much fun poking about in them and finding cool stuff. In the UK you get a whole street of charity shops and just check out all of them in a row. Saturday afternoon. So much fun. And yeah, small bowls abound everywhere. There’s loads in the thrift stores of Ontario too. And now I’m itching to go to Value Village (local thrift store).
This is what I built my shop around reusing things that already exist and cutting down on unnecessary waste! Thanks for sharing this tip with some baby witches out there that might think they have to have all the cool witchy things. You don't, you can be as thrifty as hell!

I was at an antique mall once and they was this box on a bottom shelf with good size pieces of smoky quartz and i got about 4 of them for like 60 cents each or something. It was a great find.

Hello from another thrifty broke witch from Michigan! I've always loved stores like Goodwill growing up, and I do get stuff from the Dollar Tree as well, so many fun finds!
The boxes you bought, my parents used to import boxes and also cute handbags that looked just like that. I wish I'd nicked more of them back then (it was 15 years ago...)
I literally found my Wheel of The Year wall plaque, resin cast...painted to look wooden....for $3.00 at Goodwill....those things usually cost $30 and up!!
You are so lucky in America to have such great thrift shops. I live in the UK and our charity shops are mostly geared towards clothes so not a lot of finds available plus I don't drive and use an electric wheelchair.

Btw for herbs in bulk you can order from "Mountain Rose Herbs" I will say their shipping is sometimes a little pricey but you can buy from 4oz to 1lb and they A to Z even have dragons blood and any other resin you are lookin for. My tip for second store buying is if you were to leave something ‘behind’ and the item ‘were’ to sell would you be sad? If yes then get it. If not, then walk away. Also it’s okay to take your time.

eBay has a lot of cheap crystals & stones. And you can always buy a rock tumbler set & ID & bless/consecrate the crystals & stones yourself.
Go to Etsy and type in wholesale or bulk crystals in the search and you’ll find some really good deals.

The boxes you bought, my parents used to import boxes and also cute handbags that looked just like that. I wish I'd nicked more of them back then (it was 15 years ago...)

I literally found my Wheel of The Year wall plaque, resin cast...painted to look wooden....for $3.00 at Goodwill....those things usually cost $30 and up!!

You are so lucky in America to have such great thrift shops. I live in the UK and our charity shops are mostly geared towards clothes so not a lot of finds available plus I don't drive and use an electric wheelchair.
Ohh for use it mostly depends on the store, our area has a lot so some are more clothes others are just stuff.
I love buying stuff at thrifts and garage sales! It’s always good to smudge cleanse anything you bring home.

Btw for herbs in bulk you can order from "Mountain Rose Herbs" I will say their shipping is sometimes a little pricey but you can buy from 4oz to 1lb and they A to Z even have dragons blood and any other resin you are lookin for. I use them ALL the time.

My tip for second store buying is if you were to leave something ‘behind’ and the item ‘were’ to sell would you be sad? If yes then get it. If not, then walk away. Also it’s okay to take your time.
