If you want to understand why Tom put that in his song go watch his two songs on the subject. The first is called Dear Rappers the second is called Blame The Rappers with Tom and Dax. If you go watch them I think you will understand what Tom meant.

He's not talking about only black people. He is including himself. He said "we." When he came to America he lived in Crenshaw. He knows. Tom is about unity and common sense. He won't be labeled and he is a bit of an anarchist. More when he was younger. People try to figure him out. They won't.

You brought up a good point. I do not think he is exposed as a Canadian American to the country, asian, latino, or even the hippy culture music because it is not boosted on the media as the gangsta rap is. Heck, look at the societal image of the hard core punk rockers and how many have ever heard the non media pumped hardcore? Maybe this is the very site that can open all of that up to us all? After all, for a long time, I only knew country music was a guy sniveling in his beer about how his woman left him. We all got a long way to go and what scares me is our time is being shortened by some insane power hungry people with zero morals who want it all at any cost and we the people are the ones who get to pay.

I'd suggest listening to "Sad Rappers" , he mentions every genre. Tom critiques rappers the most because that's his main lane, but his biggest plight is negative messages in mainstream music

WTAF man? What are you talking about "there's Hispanic music, Asian music, I dunno why he had to put that in....
WHAT, PUT WHAT IN? DOES HE SAY BLACK? NO, DOES HE SAY WHITE? NO. DOES HE MEAN _ANYONE WHO DOES X?_
    YES!

He didn't mention color. If you subliminally heard that it came from your own experience. It is pretty racist and ridiculous to think black people should never be called out on shit they do and to around and say what about white people. People should have to take accountability no matter their race. Why is black people off limits or above that. And again he said rappers not black people.
