Thanks for another awesome vid, Gunny. I have recently stripped, cleaned and repaired a few guns for a mate.... 3x SRi Pro smart, an Iwata LPH80, a GTi pro and an Iwata WS-400 base - all literally full strip-downs with a few new parts & seals etc, all of them were in an absolutely shocking state before I got my hands on them!! I found it very satisfying to take them from looking like they'd been left on a scrap heap to gleaming. Every last one in perfect working order and looking almost new now 😊

Some good advice there Gunny, this is exactly what I do to all my guns I don't use my ProLite as much as I used to as I have to many guns these days, I got my ProLite and Pro around 4 years ago and they are both still going strong and the seals are still original👌👍John UK

    G'day Mr Gunman,
I have the Devilbiss GTI PRO Lite spray gun. (gold)
Now im only a part time painter so my gun gets put into Hibernation. Well when i went to use my gun it was leaking air. After speaking to SGD they said for long periods of not in use add some light oil to the centre section. I had to replace the centre section at a cost of $150.

Excellent breakdown and cleaning. There's a little jewelry try you can get that off hold all of your components and you can just set it down into the chemical and then pull it out when you're ready and then dip everything into distilled water solution or alcohol and dry it off.

I do that every time I've used it but I use NAPA carburettor cleaner to clean the galleries, about 3 quid a tin & one tin does about six cleans

Gunny, what about putting a bit of lubricant (Vaseline is a popular brand here in Canada) on the needle where it goes through the packing nut and the nozzle threads where they contact the gun body?

Hi Guny, thank you for the detailed video! My question is for the waste of chemicals after you cleaned your gun. You use thinners and solvent and at the end there is some hundreds of mL used waste. What do you do with it? I mean, the company you are working at, will take care about them and not is your businnes, but when you are at home and you have the waste , how you proceed? Do you collect them and bring to a local company who collect them or maybe burning away (might be not environmental friendly)? These are not healthy stuffs for sure...

Hey Gunny. I am not a painter but I bought a spray paint from England which came with a water filter connected to the gun. It is a LVLP gun and I am wondering as you always have a pressure gauge on the gun, do I need to put oneone above or below the gun? There is also a water filter on my compressor. Thanks for any advice you can give. I have learnt heaps from watching your videos.
