I've said this before elsewhere, so I may be starting to sound like a broken record.
$600 or $800 or $1000 is a heckuva lot of money to spend on shoes that you wear only four to five times a year, if that. And I strongly disagree with that approach.
These shoes CAN be worn, and they can be used for everyday occasions. But you need to put in the time and the work to justify the $$$.
In my own case, I'm an American 8 1/2 in most of my shoes. And I'd heard that Loubies, particularly So Kates, needed to be purchased up a half-size. Well, when I tried them on in the store, they really hurt so yeah, I went up to 9, or the European equivalent, 39.
And they still hurt like h**l. But, after all that money I paid, I was determined to make them work. So I simply gritted my teeth and wore them at home every day, for at least an hour, for around six weeks, I think. And I didn't just lie around in them, or sit in a chair. I WALKED, all over the place, up and down stairs, stood in them wherever I was, and generally really pissed off my poor toes. And, wouldn't you know it? At the end of those six weeks, they no longer hurt. And I could no longer wear them. Why? They were flopping OFF my feet!
I had bought the wrong size. No, I hadn't bought too small; I had bought too BIG. I discovered that Loubies are the stretchiest high heels I've ever gotten in my life. The shoe that comes out of the box brand new is NOTHING like the shoe you get after several weeks of vigorous breaking in.
The moral of the story is that new Louboutin shoes SHOULD hurt; that's the style; they mercilessly squeeze your toes to give you that sexy cleavage effect. You want the sexy look or don't you?
So I admitted my mistake to myself, and vowed that when the time was right, I'd buy another pair true to size. And finally did, five weeks ago.
Ouch, ouch, ouch. The last five weeks have been hard. But I'm happy to say I'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel; the left shoe now feels perfectly fine; the right shoe is almost done, only a little pain left sometimes in the lesser toes. I'm hoping by next week, they'll be ready for prime-time. I'm already wearing them for as much as three to four hours at a stretch, with only the occasional urge to take one of them off for a few seconds.
Most important, they are NOT flopping off my feet, and I can still walk quickly in them without worrying they'll pop off. One other interesting thing I've noticed: the toes actually don't feel that different from the 39's. I think that may mean that within half-sizes, or perhaps even whole sizes, the size of the toebox is actually not that different. We're trained to think that the larger the shoe the less the toe-squeeze and the smaller the shoe the worse the toe-squeeze. But, at least in these shoes, I don't think that's necessarily the case. If I try on my broken in 39's now, the toes actually don't feel that different from the almost-broken in 38.5's. In fact, while it would probably be risky, the fact is that I'm starting to feel a little give in the heel of the left shoe in the 38.5, which makes me think I might have even been able to work with a 38. But that's for another time, maybe in two years or so!
The bottom line: don't use these shoes just for the occasional sit-down-and-look-pretty occasions. That's a waste of all that hard-earned money. They were meant to be seen and to be used. They deserve the time and the effort to do that.
Thanks for the comment đđŸââïžđ

@@AllThatJazzOnYT Thanks!
I can't believe I read this whole comment đ€Ł. But so true, so comprehensive. They are meant to be see. And worn.
I'm loving your content. Hope to see your channel grow and those shoes look painful, I couldn't pull the plug to purchase them. The pigalle 100 mm and the pigalle plato are my favorite shoes.
Lol thank you âșïž and yes they are painful Iâll be purchasing the pigalles in the future for sure â€ïž
@@ShoeScents you're welcome and you should, they are so much more comfortable đ

Ohhh boy maybe cheaper if you try them on in a store near you to get your size then order from elsewhere? But thank you for watching Iâm glad you enjoyed â€ïžâ€ïž

Hi hun did you by the so kates ?
@@ShoeScents I bought the Kate Strass the really tall ones lol
@@staecygonzalez3432 ooo I love those very sparkly . The only thing I can suggest is practice or exchange them for a lower heel. I know they have lower heel heights in the strassâ€ïž
@@ShoeScents okay! Thatâs actually a good idea!
Iove you too đđ
Want to get my GF a pair she wear a size 7 should I get her a 7.5 I hear they run small
Awww so sweet. Mines ended up being true to size. But, Iâve heard about people going up and down a size as well. I think itâd be safe to maybe go up just because one foot is usually bigger than the other or really just take the SAâs advice but you can always exchange if they donât work out.â€ïž
@@ShoeScents thanks đđż

This is why I say that a beautiful pedicure is just as important as a sexy pair of heels đ đ đđ đ
Every video that Iâve seen on red bottoms⊠the reviews are the same. đ Ouch! They hurt!!!!
They run smallllllll.
China !!!! really ??
I really love your beautiful heels and you have gorgeous feet as well.
These don't even look walkable..đ„Ž so uncomfortable looking
Lol definitely not a comfortable shoe đ đ
Pretty feet woman!
My wife owns several pairs of those expensive shoes but weâre bosses and we buy what we want. My question to sisters is how do you even put on those heels. You have to be a ballerina, just to put those bad boys on :-)
Lol funny because Iâve danced for years, many styles including ballet so I get what youâre saying. But hey âPain is Beautyâ đđ
@@ShoeScents
Lol. Right on sis I understand. My better half says similar.
This is like choosing men and you girls make the same mistakes in your choice of men. đ
