Wow, I too just got back from Spain but also did Portugal and Morocco and I took just one camera and one lens - Leica Q3 🙂

Too much gear indeed! Next trip to Martinique planned for Dec-Jan should be Leica Q2 + Yashica T4 only :)

@@FredRanger I have the T4 Super as well but I can’t remember the last time I put a film though it- it’s mint in box - saving for a day when film prices fall 😜

@torchbox really enjoy this little camera, but like you, I am very conscious that every time I press the shutter it’s $2 hehe

Goodness, that's a lot of gear for a trip abroad! Since moving to Leica, I've really enjoyed the simplicity in just having an M, a couple of lenses and my Q2. My shoulders and neck have never been happier!

That's my finding also! The next trip (in December) might only be the Q2 and the M6 🤘🏻

Hi Fred ! I would definitely love a video on the M4 Ipad from a photographer's perspective! I am considering one as well but I would love to hear your thoughts before buying one :). You are packing 3 main (great) cameras :) I am glad you still have and use the Leica Q2, I still use mine a lot ! Cheers !

Thanks for the comment my friend. That Q2 is indeed just unbeatable :)
The M4 iPad really changed the way I think about mobile editing and travel photography. I’ll do a video explaining why soon. Cheers!

Thank you for the video Fred. I'm currently shooting a Fujifilm x-t2 and would love to try a Leica Q2. Do you know if it's possible to rent one in the Montreal area? So far I have not been able to find one for rent. Btw, I discovered your podcasts and have really enjoyed listening to them.

Thank you for the feedback on the podcast, and I'm happy to hear that you find value in the content. Regarding your question about finding a place to rent Leica cameras, it seems difficult to find one and places like Gosselin or Photo Service aren’t offering renting Leica products. My suggestion is to keep an eye out for Leica Demo days, where they showcase demo cameras and let users play with it for a couple of hours. Camtec/Leica Boutique in old MTL had one a couple of months ago. The best way to stay updated is to subscribe to their Newsletter and follow them on Instagram. I hope this information helps. Cheers!

I have the same question haha. I could’ve shoot 80% of what I shot with the Leica Q2, but This trip was a once In a lifetime opportunity where I wanted to test different options. If you look at other videos on this channel you will see that I did experiment with super minimalistic setup (like an Fuji X100V and a GoPro) and testes the other route with 2 Fujifilm digital cameras, 1 film camera, multiple lenses, a drone a DJI Osmo pocket, etc… This trip has confirmes that 2 cameras (1 film, one digital) and a small video camera (the DJI Osmo Pocket 3) is all I need. Cheers!
