Yup, wish some of these cagers would pull over an put an ass whoopin on these bikers. They think they own the road. I ride at least 100 miles every non rainy day (to work and back) through pretty heavy traffic. If you ride like a normal human being you rarely have issues with cars. Its when you ride like dipshit like half these guys do.
What takes the cake is that he has a cry about it. If you ride like a lunatic, then expect people to pull out on you, and don't cry like a baby.

My Dad and I drove a VW powered trike similar to that from MI to CA in....1986. Had to replace too many parts to list but will say the people of this country never thought twice about helping us along. Good times.

Those VolksWagen powered trikes where quite the fad in the 1970s and 1980s. There were quite a few of them on the road, some with Chevrolet Corvair conversions. A few companies out of the West Coast sold the kits.
I had a chance to get a corvair trike and passed on it and always regretted it but later snagged a VW trike and love it.

I built a VW Trike like that one back in the late 70's. A Custom VW Shop just west of Atlanta, GA made up kits to build them. You got a frame that welded to the torsion bar tube of the donor VW , a springer fork, shifter assembly, pedal brackets, and handlebar with controls. You could go to a junk yard and buy a wrecked VW Beetle and use it to attach the kit on. It actually did wheelies way to easy, even with a tiny 40 HP VW engine. Air cooled VW's were dirt cheap or even free back then. A neighbour's kid wrecked and totalled the Bug his Dad gave him as his first car. He gave it to me to get it out of his driveway. That's what I built the trike out of. It was 'OK' for a while but I got tired of it and sold it after a couple of years.
Gotta love old Air cooled VW power.
Dad and I built a 200hp 2176cc VW motor.. it would literally carry both front tires through 1st and 2nd in a bug that was lifted on 31's rear and 28's up front and full cage.

or California i used to see them all the time in the 80s and 90s out at the beach that air cooled engine was made for California weather. i think now some companies make there own version of a VW trike its a little more standup then the original lay back version.

I used to see things like that, though not the exact same model, all the time growing up in the 70's and 80's. They were very popular back then.
