Operation Northern Exposure 2024 - Cst. D. Rivers

Last year, the communities of Kashechewan,
Fort Albany and Attawapiskat opened their doors
and lives to 36 police officers from Halton, Peel,
and York for what came to be known as
Operation Northern Exposure.
The officers returned with such moving experiences
that they inspired others to undertake deployments
with the Nishnawbe Aski Police Service
from January to May 2024.
Once there, they attended emergency calls,
interacted with the community, and became
immersed in Northern and Indigenous culture.
