A year ago, I couldn't really tell if the person speaking was using american or british english, but now I do notice the differences. I bet someday I'll be that speaker, and other person will be the one trying to figure out if I'm using american or british accent 😁

Hello Vanessa! Good to see you! Thanks a lot for that advanced lesson! I have found some analogies between using those verbs in English and my first language. It helps me to realize this theme. Anyway, I really do want to exercise every other day, but I don't do this coz I am usually busy at day's routine.

Thank you for this advanced usage of these 3 verbs. I'm Polish and fortunatelly in Polish language we have the same advanced use of "bet" and "tell" as in English so it's much easier for me. Only "do" is a little unusual for me in this advanced way.

I really do want to study English but I didn't feel comfortable lately. It's really hard when you have a relationship with a native speaker and he speaks your language (my language) better than you could speak in English. 😞 My motivation is gone. But I don't want to give up.

Hey there! Something I've been noticing in American English is the use of the verb "do" to mean "like", for example: "I don't do ketchup" = "I don't like ketchup", and "You bet" to express certainty, such as "You may be sure".

Sometimes I avoid to mention the grief/ the lost to the person just had it, I thought that was the best way because I don't want that person to remmember about the bad memories of the tragedy. But now I know that's inappropriate, and even a silly or clumsy sympathy word is better than pretending to be nothing happened.

Tell ( I uss it very often every single day )
Do (I seldom use it.but from now on I am gonna try it very often. It can emphasize my tone while talking with the others. )
I do like American English.
I do like dogs.
I do like arts.
I do like vegetables.
I bet.( I only use it a couple times during half month. Right now I find that it can emphasize my tone if speaking to the others.)
I bet that I can speak American English fluently sooner or later.
I bet that I can make it.

I bet that I can overcome nowadays hardship.

"Do" is an auxiliary verb in the advanced usage here. "Have" is the main verb and "do" is the auxiliary, always before the main verb
He does run 50 Km every day (main verb: run)
They do talk very loudly (main verb: talk)
Did you go to the store? (main verb: go)
Does she do her homework on the weekend (main verb: do)
There are many auxilliary verbs, and you probably many of them already.
