Nightmare's been getting a lot of attention in the comics recently. More so than in many prior years. That can only mean they're planning on bringing him to the MCU and want to increase his exposure to make that inclusion more impactful.
Although this is correct, we might not get to see him in the MCU for some time and since we got Clea at the end of Doctor Stange : MoM, it's far more likely we'll see Dorrmammo before we see Nightmare.
@@liam7930 When he appears is besides the point. We've seen the MCU remix things or combine characters so there's nothing to rule out Nightmare being in the Dark Dimension. Dormammu himself has also had underlings who were significant characters in their own right.

We've now seen 4 Omega level Telepaths take on the Eternals Unimind and win against dozens of Eternals working in sync in a telepathic battle. I think what Marvel is slowly developing to is Omega Level mutants are like Mini Cosmic level with a Unique Specialized power with limitless potential. Jean and her Telepathy, Iceman temperature manipulation, Jamie Reality Manipulation, Exodus Telekinesis, Magneto Magnestism, Storm Weather/Elemental manipulation, Vulcan Energy Manipulation, Elixir Biological Manipulation etc. In their areas of power they can be multiworld "Cosmic" threats or deviations to Eternals

@@Dezzyyy Hello, Exodus gives a good explanation of Telepathy and how it works in combat during Immortal X-men #5 which I'm sure Rob will be covering soon. Telepathy is a power that relies on raw power but also skill and willpower are huge factors in how effective a Telepath is. Knull's is far more powerful, skilled and definitely has stronger will than the Eternals, his symbiotes that are linked to him were capable of overtaking a couple of Celestials, The creators of the Eternals and controlling them. Rob covered that story arc it's called King in Black. Knull was attacking the mind of Dylan Brock, son of Eddie Brock(Venom), because Dylan could control symbiotes as well Knull wanted to overtake him. But Dylan kept hearing a voice in his head pushing him to fight and not give up. The voice was later revealed to be Jean Grey who began to use Knull being in Dylan's mind as a way to attack Knull and enter Knull's mind to search through it trying to find his weakness despite him knowing she was doing it. Mutants, in particular Omega level mutants have no limit to the heights their Omega level power(s) can reach hence making them potentially more powerful than a Cosmic Entity like an Eternal or beings beyond the Eternals with that same power.
Honestly, I'm not that much of a fan of Marvel constantly taking the brakes off of everyone's powers. Like, with more than half of the X-Men being omega-leveled and having no upper limits, then it just becomes a battle of gods rather than a battle of people trying to win despite their shortcomings and limitations.

Readers tend to forget how powerful a really good telepath can be. There was a great example of this in The Legion of Super Heroes a couple decades ago. The villain was one of their earliest villains, he had a hypnosis power, which he used to take over the Earth. Saturn Girl (telepath) walked in on him. He ordered his two bodyguards to protect him (Legioneers Ultra Boy and Mon-El -- think of Superman, only there are two of them). The telepath just looked at them and they dropped.
Why would they have to kill Ben Urich to wipe his mind of seeing Cyclops alive? Professor X and Emma Frost and the Cuckoos would both just cut that information out of his mind to keep everything kosher. Jean Grey, Rachel Grey and the Psylockes could do it, but they might need some convincing.
Personally I kinda disagree with the Jean Grey vs Nightmare analysis... It really doesn't matter about her being omega level telepath or anything. It's just her strength of self. In Nightmare's realm itself, like actually IN the dreamscape, he would *absolutely* rule supreme. We're seeing him encounter her in her own dreaming mind. Jean now without the Phoenix is somewhere between how she confident she was at the start of Phoenix saga and how she was by her 2nd death, really playing the leader role for the X-Men ever since X-Men Red which is a fresh take given it’s been a Scott/Logan show for over a decade before this. I’m interested to see what they continue to do with her however I am very aware that she is the most perfect host for the Phoenix and the only WPOTC so it’s only a matter of time till the two get back together.
Interesting story, The Xmen could have lied to the public by saying Cyclops developed a new mutant gene that regenerated and revived his dead body..they are mutants ya know? But I still loved the story! Very refreshing thanks Rob👊🏿💯

In Bloodties one of the omega level mutants is put up against the Avengers showing the a single omega level mutant was a very credible threat to two full Avengers teams aided by the X-Men including several of the most powerful Avengers such as Scarlet Witch and Sersi.

These stories are blurring the lines between and bringing closer together, the x men, and the rest of the heroes (avengers, f4, whatever else), and their worlds and villains and presence in the universe. This is laying the ground for when the x men join the mcu, which is predominantly, an avengers world.

Jean Grey is my fave character and will always be. The reason why Jean is finally coming back to main spotlight is cause of the Disney buyout. One, finally MCU can use their greatest characters and stories; the xmen. Two, Jean is not only the strongest female hero, but the strongest hero in marvel history, and the fact that MCU is high on female characters and representation, it's obvious choice to make Jean the main character in X-Men once again. Also, I think Rob is forgetting Jean used to do stuff like this back in the day. She knocked down Galactus by herself, removed Bruce from Hulk into separate beings, penetrated Juggernauts helmet, stopped Binary's full power attack, and just recently, she was able to penetrate into Knulls mind. Jean slapping Nightmare is a massive power display, and she is barely using her God level Omega powers.

None of the characters you mentioned even come close to that level of power. Not even an inch close. Jean without the Phoenix is an omega level mutant whose powers have on more than one occasion been referred to as immeasurable. In this very issue we see a pure example of how strong she is. She's an extremely powerful Omega level mutant.

Jean now without the Phoenix is somewhere between how she confident she was at the start of Phoenix saga and how she was by her 2nd death, really playing the leader role for the X-Men ever since X-Men Red which is a fresh take given it’s been a Scott/Logan show for over a decade before this. I’m interested to see what they continue to do with her however I am very aware that she is the most perfect host for the Phoenix and the only WPOTC so it’s only a matter of time till the two get back together.
Interesting story, The Xmen could have lied to the public by saying Cyclops developed a new mutant gene that regenerated and revived his dead body..they are mutants ya know? But I still loved the story! Very refreshing thanks Rob👊🏿💯

Jean Grey is my fave character and will always be. The reason why Jean is finally coming back to main spotlight is cause of the Disney buyout. One, finally MCU can use their greatest characters and stories; the xmen. Two, Jean is not only the strongest female hero, but the strongest hero in marvel history, and the fact that MCU is high on female characters and representation, it's obvious choice to make Jean the main character in X-Men once again. Also, I think Rob is forgetting Jean used to do stuff like this back in the day. She knocked down Galactus by herself, removed Bruce from Hulk into separate beings, penetrated Juggernauts helmet, stopped Binary's full power attack, and just recently, she was able to penetrate into Knulls mind. Jean slapping Nightmare is a massive power display, and she is barely using her God level Omega powers.

None of the characters you mentioned even come close to that level of power. Not even an inch close. Jean without the Phoenix is an omega level mutant whose powers have on more than one occasion been referred to as immeasurable. In this very issue we see a pure example of how strong she is. She's an extremely powerful Omega level mutant.

Further, as stated and seen multiple times, Phoenix, especially White Phoenix is far above any of the characters you mentioned and none have demonstrated or have been shown defeating the white phoenix and not all Phoenix users are created equal.
Jean's powers have been stated on more than one occasion as being immeasurable. The Phoenix sought her out to begin with because of her near limitless psychic potential. She's an Omega who's telepathy is virtually limitless. It isn't PIS.

heres the problem with the ressurrection. The people in this universe have lived through Infinity Gauntlet, Fatal attractions, SHadowland, One more day, Spider Island, M Day, Seige, War of Realms, Secret Empire, Civil War, Infinity but SOMEHOW seeing a mutant die and come back would be abnormal? You watch the new Predator “Prey” movie….. what do you think of the filmmaker himself saying that he had no idea of the back story to the 1915 flintlock that Danny Glover was handed at the end had a comic backstory until after the movie was done? How Star Wars sequel trilogy not having a story mapped out not even a structure that was cohesive for all 3 movies? I feel paramont was a bit more committed to source material than a social cause (nothing wrong with that, Naru was strongest female character since Alicia Verkanda’s underrated Tomb Raider) Now we are seeing how Disney has taken over so much and now its just them holding the bag like taking to many liberties with writing and sticking to source visuals because they have possibly ran out of ideas. They are great at quality visuals but the PC writing is chipping the polish they had.
