  • We had an almost entirely DIY Wedding and we made rag bunting to decorate areas of our wedding venue. We used it along one entire wall of our venue, which was the wall with windows all along it an it's looked really nice draped along the tops of the windows. We also used it on the outside of our venue above the terrace area.

    Materials:
    1) Rope - we used 50m of jute rope for £10 from amazon (affiliate link): amzn.to/2MmZoma
    2) Fabric - 5 colours, 2 metres of each colour, £1 per metre from a shop on Ridley Road near Dalston Kingsland in London.
    3) Scissors - fabric scissors ideally but any will do
    Steps:
    1) Cut or rip strips of fabric 5cm x 65cm.
    2) Tie the strips to the rope at 10cm intervals, leaving space at the end of the rope for tying it up in your venue.

If we decide on a winter wedding this would totally mimic icicles if done with white/blue glittery fabric!

You remind me of a slim, wellspoken version of Geri Halliwell... The wedding hall looked great...well fine!

Very simple, but add to the overall look it fitted in and added another dimension. 👍

Try this with recycled materials from charity shops - old duvets, clothes they are going to chuck out, scraps from upholsterers and dress makers
