Yeah I was surprised to find out there's another album out already. Seems like Joe Liszt is a US version of Ced Forsberg.

Never heard this band, only two songs in and I've already found a new favorite band. Finally a truly great Trad metal band of the modern era.

Great band!!!The lead singer of this band is very similar to that of vocalist Yannis Papadopoulos (Warrior Path) in my opinion is the best album of 2019!

This is why I love this channel. I would have just skipped this record because of the Pokéquest, Dragonpenis and Vagina Arctica artwork expecting cheesepower... but it turns out to be solid heavy metal. Some kind of dark sci fi version of Blind Guardian.
Highly recommend their previous albums too,you can find them all on this channel.

Artwork doesnt match the music at all...whatta heck is this album cover :D. Despite silly cover art, this band has some serious high quality musicianship. Great melodic and cohesive metal riffs, on point vocals and solid audio mixing. Overall darker tone and serious intent behind all tracks serves the band very well. This is how you make a true "dark horse" of a metal album that matches even the bigger metal names/releases in the industry. Awesome job, Ancient Empire!
The artwork fits the theme of the album, the idea that the angels and Gods were actually aliens from a superior alien race has been around in ancient mythology for a very long time
@@ANDREWHALL28 Thank you for your response. My thoughts ment the stylistic link between artwork and the music. I was expecting something amateurish, tong-in-cheek, happy-go-lucky rock effort than truly professional and full fleshed metal album which it turned out to be. Amazing band!

There’s nothing wrong with the vox.
My third Ancient Empire album and they're all pretty bland. I don't know how they don't get bored of making insipid melodies like these that undoubtedly take no more than five minutes to fully write.
The rest of the music doesn't really grab me, but some good melodies could elevate the whole production.
Alright, actually, this opening song definitely has a little more special sauce than most of everything else I've heard from the band. Then again, this album was from 2019 and I didn't like the band's 2021 album, so I don't know why I think I'd like this any better.
