So glad to see Black Widow and War Machine getting some love here as I feel not many people like these heroes. My favourites to play are Black Widow, Nebula, War Machine, Venom and Star Lord.
It's cool to see that some heroes still hold up in these newer metas, and yet, the newer heroes are still fresh enough to still make the game fun. Great list fellas!

I freakin love Marvel Champions! Awesome list! Haven’t got too much into the deck building aspect yet but I finally picked up all the expansions and hero packs. Been playing since January and my friends and I play every week at our LGS before our Pathfinder 2E Campaign or other board games i.e. Power Rangers, Dune, and Alien: Nemesis.
I think I’ve had the most fun with Star Lord….. but I’m not sure the people I play with would agree 😂😂😂. Really enjoying Wolverine at the moment.
Black Widow honestly needs some love with some more preparation keyword cards imo. Would just make her kit so much nicer to play.

Agreed. She was one of my favorites when I first got her, but she hasn’t changed too much over time as very little preparation cards have been added.
Thank you so much for giving love to War Machine. When I saw his hero pack, that was the entire reason I bought Marvel Champions in the first place. I've since bought all heroes and just missing a few scenario packs but I will always love WM the most

Great lists guys. Thanks for sharing. My latest top 5, and it changes all the time:
1. Doctor Strange (I know,people say he is too easy, but I play him against the toughest villians and manipulating the invocation deck with Wang and Cosmo is a lot of fun)
2. Wolverine (newer hero and a lot of fun, very powerful)
3. Quicksilver (awesome being able to ready over and over again)
4. SP//DR (wasn’t excited about this when she came out, but she is really a great design)
5. Vision (wouldn’t make too many peoples top 5, but I enjoy playing him a lot)
I haven’t played Nova for a long time. Need to try him again. He was fun from what I remember. He might make the top 5 after playing again.

I had been playing this game since release before taken about a year's break from the game. These are the heroes that still resinate with me from all the time I spent deck building and playing with these heroes. The other day I bought the next eleven hero packs and am exited to see what they offer. Thank you for making some of the best marvel champions content!

Great vid, fun to see both your picks! And I can confirm there's no errata on Ironheart's progress counters! You can spend as many as you like and they're very, very good.
It's difficult to pick a top 5! I love to build decks, but my top 5 heroes to build decks for wouldn't be my top 5 to play. But let's try:
1) Star-Lord, 2) Storm, 3) Ant-Man, 4) Spider-Woman, 5) Black Panther
I've been playing Gambit and Rogue a lot this weekend though and they are both super fun! One of them might well break into this list.

I think Spider-Woman is criminally underrated! Gotta put in some time with Black Panther. Hopefully more Marvel soon!
Warmachine's Shoulder Cannon is a ride but doesn't tango well with Retaliate. Had to menstion this card's nemesis😁
We played the campaign with Black Widow and Wolverine. He was a typical tank on the front line of fire, and she was a typical spy, who was often responsible for disarming opponents and dealing the final blow from hiding. They gave me a lot of fun. That's how I feel
Nice! Wolverine can be a great swiss army knife in that regard and Black Widow is superb when it comes to her thwarting abilities :). Thanks for watching!

I bought Warmachine because of your review, and he is definitely my favorite. I got Drax after, but he just wasn't the same as Warmachine's power fantasy.
Warmachine is very cool! Drax is a tough one to manage the damage on. I totally agree with your take.

I love playing as Wolverine. Can really do massive damage even in the first round if you draw the right cards. He even has decent thwart and a great thwart card that can lead to card draws.
Great video, guys! Funnily enough, my top two favorite heroes are Captain America and Quicksilver. Both have been the most satisfying and solid throughout. I keep buying new hero packs and have fun experimenting with the new play styles but I always come back to those two.

My top five would be: Ms Marvel, Iron Man, War Machine, Black Panther and Cap. Just got MTS so Spectrum/Adam Warlock could jump up.
I’m surprised Dylann didn’t mention BP since he loves upgrading and unique resources (Vibranium)

If I had to rate the decks I’ve had the most fun with I think Rocket built to demolish ultron is my favorite, and starlord leadership building for a massive 40+sliding shot is a close second:)… definitely not the most powerful, and can lead to trouble in true solo. But the heart wants what the heart wants

Finally, I got to sit down and watch this. Good video. It's nice to see some back and forth for Dylann to feed off of for this game.
Interesting lists. I can totally see why each hero made it. And can't say any of them are surprises. But It does say a lot about individual style and preferences.
If I had to choose a top 5. I think it would look something like this.
1.) Captain America
2.) Shadowcat
3.) Captain Marvel
4.) Drax
5.) Nova
With Wolverine Ghost Spider, and War Machine coming in close for that 5th spot. And if I'm being honest, I'm not sure this list would hold up to a serious evaluation. It's fun to think about.
I think it's just fun to make a list. It feels maybe a bit arbitrary sometimes but hey, why not!? I think my next play is going to be Captain Marvel. I've seen her on a few lists here now.

@All You Can Board Agreed. I think that's why tier makers are so popular.
And I highly recommend Captain Marvel. She is basically the card draw queen. In some decks, it's not uncommon to go through a quarter of your deck or more in a single turn. And she's still relevant in the current meta of the game to boot. Her aggro decks are good enough to beat Ronan, yet she has enough variety to take on trickier scenarios like Hella as well.
Dylan, if you haven't already, I suggest throwing in 3 meditation cards into your war machine deck! Since war machine doesn't rely on basic activations, it's a great way to get some more expensive cards out!
Braiden, you talked about your love for controlling the villain with Black widow. If you haven't already, check out Ghost-Spider (Gwen Stacy) in Protection! So much fun shutting the villain down on their turn.
As a fellow true solo player I'm surprised how much you both love iron-man. He seems best in multiplayer so someone else can help manage the board state while iron-man builds. I'll have to take another look at him.
I have played some Ghost Spider and also really enjoyed her! And Iron-Man almost needs to be justice when played true solo. I could see how multiplayer would benefit him more though.
@@AllYouCanBoard (with a decent collection) protection works good too, as he can thwart without needing Justice cards. Ever Vigilant gives you up to 4 more thwart too in protection.
Saw the Earth and Point City boxes in the the back. When are those videos coming out?
Earth we'll need some time to cover as we'll want to play it at multiple player counts and only recently received it. Point City, stay tuned for a Point City vs Point Salad video in the next 2 weeks! :)

I have played every hero up to storm so maybe when I play Gambit he will be in my top as he is my favorite X-Men.
My current top 5 is:
1- Quicksilver
2- Scarlet Witch
3- Gamora
4- Antman
5- Spider-Man (Peter Parker)
I feel like Gambit is gonna replace War Machine for me, uses similar ammo counters but has much more interesting alter ego effects and versatility.
My top 5 is hard especially if I'm going to rank them. I'll rank them in order of release - Iron Man, Black Widow, Ant-Man, Gamora, and Wolverine. (Venom is super close, and War Machine is a top 10 for me)

Haha no, not sponsored. I've only played it once so far and that was only at 2 players which probably isn't the ideal count for it. I just need to be more intentional about getting it to the table with a large group a couple times and then I'll definitely cover it in a video! Thanks for keeping me accountable! Haha.

Great video guys! Such a hard choice. It really could vary based on the day, but:
1. Scarlet Witch
2. Ms. Marvel
3. She-Hulk
4. Thor
5. Quicksilver
Protection is absolutely my favorite build and by the time the Scarlet Witch is fully built in it (including cards like Shield Spell), it really feels like she is in complete control of the board state.
I think I'm going to really like Scarlet Witch once I play her. Guess I'll just have to play MORE Marvel Champions. 😁

Complete newbie here so, this episode is filled with great information for me. I've only played four heroes so far - Spider-man - Captain Marvel - She-Hulk and Iron Man. Love them all. I suck at the aggression aspect - it's just not for me. I'm more of a Justice guy. I need me some Quicksilver!
The core box is so awesome because of how many fun heroes are included! Quicksilver is definitely VERY fun. I've played him once since this video and I'm sold. 👍🏻

My top 5 Champions are:
5 - Quicksilver - Pietro used to be my top 1, and though he slid to 5, he's still so fun.
4 - Vision - Even after Shadowcat released, Vision is still my favorite phasing Champion. Vivian is also the best ally ever.
3 - Sp//dr - Champion which best captures the fantasy of the character. Super fun and powerful!
2 - Gamora - From the bottom of my Champion list to now one of my favorites. Playing her is so interactive and tactical.
1 - Ghost Spider - Spider Gwen is blazing fast, fun, and is my favorite!

Ghost Spider has a few cards similar to Black Widow. The other that comes to mind is Nebula.

Braiden...Cap's AE ability doesn't require allies to share a trait. Are you talking about the Team-Building exercise?
Yes I believe I am! The deck I built has TBE in it so that's probably why.

@@AllYouCanBoard his royal flush card with 3 charge counters does 3 cost for 9 damage if you use warrior skill it brings it to 9 to 12. You can also use two aggressive energies to bring it from 12 to 18!

War Machine isn't that popular, I imagine he isn't in very many top fives.
Haven't played Champions in a while, sold everything I had. Was thinking about getting back in and just doing X-Men stuff but 10 choices here and not a single x-men champion. Maybe I will just skip for now.
I will say I've only played three X-Men so far (Wolverine, Phoenix, Gambit, and Storm). I think they're fun but not quite to the same level as the heroes on this list (imo).
