In today's video I am going to cover what there is to do in Idaho Springs, Colorado. Idaho Springs is a small mountain town about 30 miles from downtown Denver. It is mainly known for its gold rush history and is a great place to stop on the way to the mountains and when coming back down from the mountains.

Very helpful, thank you!
My friend's son works at art river rafting. We're out there a lot. My favorite house is the pink Victorian.
Definitely a great little town
Great work

My Mom grew up here...her last name was,Harrington......The Harrington house is still there....When the kids from High School graduated, they went up on the Mountain, and painted the year...Moms class was 1939.......They stop doing that a long time ago......Wonder what ever happened to a girl I was crazy about, Margaret Wyckoff.....Thanks for the Video.......John Brownlee.........
If you come into town and need auto glass repair from highway travels hit the local business Canyon Glass And Gutters.
I would love to help you ❤
Just saw a video on the local police department where they literally tried to cover up their own wrongdoing while their body cameras were on. Seems like a place I'd avoid at all costs
What was happening
@@vintage1908 as a local I can say this town is great, but a relatively new cop ended up tasing an old innocent man. He sued. It's settled
@@skater1191 oh ok good
THEY PUT PARKING METERS IN THIS SMALL TOWN HOW GREEDY NEVER VISIT Again
you can park just outside the historic Main Street and walk into the town.
@@skater1191 we were looking and we could not find anyplace we were going to have dinner so we said the heck with it but maybe we did not look to hard but found some nice places in Georgetown
@@laceysky6141 Georgetown is nice also. Their Soda Jerk Shop and Beef Jerky Emporium are both great.
@@skater1191 Well Thank you regarding the Soda Jerk Shop and Jerky Emporium .The family and I are not going to Idaho springs no more because of the GREEDY politicians SO GEORGETOWN IT IS YIPEE we can stay there for a week or 2 or 3 LOL
Looks boring !
Not boring, mountain biking, Jeep trails and camping. One of my favorite cities in the whole country. It’s full of recreational activities.
@@drinkfreshflower9435 really? Your fav?
I've been working this town for 5 years. Access to pretty much everything.
@@skater1191 like what?
@@vintage1908 you're 25 minutes from Denver and 25 minutes from the ski resorts. This town is a major rafting, hiking camping town in the summer and a ski town in the winter. Good food, nice locals, many bars, few dispensaries etc. Theres Jeep trails all over, shooting ranges, fishing spots, train rides, and history here like a gold mine in town and many historically registered buildings. I only watched this video to see if my car was in it. But don't listen to a Denver real estate agent, listen to a local.
