"I'd remember walking along and somebody in the upper part of the upper decks would raise his hands and say 'I'd like a soda'", and I'm thinking, this tray is unbelievably heavy, and the lids didn't work so well in the 1960s as they do today, and I'm going to walk all the way up there for two and three quarter cents? And guess what? I walked all the way up there for two and three quarter cents."

99% are ignorant. This type of drive is not exclusive to only goldman. Talk to any young, hungry graduate who wants to make a name for themselves and this is their mentality. Don't criticize the man because you could never go to college or make something of yourself. By the way, I'm not looking for votes, my success is measured in dollars and happiness.

Who's 99%?? The Occupy protesters? They don't represent anyone except themselves. I'm not rich nor I resent those who are lucky or those who worked hard to be rich. I enjoy listening to Lloyd because I enjoy learning about business. You shouldn't call large swathes of people "ignorant".

@privatezib act as middlemen for businesses trying to raise money and investors willing to give it, then charging egregious fees, although this only accounts for 10% of profits, but is usually what they cite when asked. I also believe they make trades on behalf of themselves and clients, but who do you thinks comes first. Being intimately close to the financial markets which runs on information and sentiment, its no surprise that most of their bets work out (insider trading pretty much).

There is a BIG difference between success because of successfully creating and success because of successfully taking.
