I thought maybe gay men sometimes are camp and have a higher voice (from my experience) because we often gravitate towards girls and matriarchal idols when we’re younger. I never hung around boys or participated in masculine activities so I feel like I picked up on feminine mannerisms and vocal tones (like how you can pick up an accent).
The most homophobia I seem to receive nowadays are from other gay men. You can't be too fem, you have to be a certain way, not too fat, not too thin etc. "Straight acting" is a term which I absolutely despise, because we all act straight in the closet. Now these criteria are not just qualities looked for in a bf, but also when they're looking for friends. Some try so hard to blend in with society and to avoid homophobia from the straights that they've taken up some of their biases. On another note, loved this video XD

The sample size was very small for example and only heterosexual and homosexual participants were involved.I don't think the study was repeated by other independent scientists to see if they could achieve the same results. Also did these neural differences predetermine who you are attracted to or did your life experiences and behavior patterns gradually shape these structures the way they are now?
i think the gay face one was real, though. I think they did a study and had people guess whether men were straight or gay based on facial features (no eyebrow stuff, piercings etc included) and apparently, there are common facial features associated with gay men.

The top/bottom stereotypes seem harmful IMO because in any healthy relationship both partners interchangeably take on the "roles" of nurturing, protecting, doing the dishes, mowing the lawn, cooking, etc. This needs to stop. It's unhealthy for all relationships, I think. It took me so many years to understand that it's not my job/ "role" to care for a man as if he's also my child. He's a grown up man. I'm not his mommy.
