Great review, Lee! We're pleased you like the car 😊 Keep up the great videos 👍
For those wondering why it isn't DPR, there simply isn't enough room. We will always make a car DPR when there is room to do so.
@@OfficialScalextric thank you! I did think that would be the reason for the DPR thanks for clarifying
G'day Lee, i'm a 66 boy and that is my kinda car, plenty around here in Australia when I was a lad but Dad always had Ford Falcons (plenty of room for us kids) so thanks for the track test as Scalextric's advertising doesn't do it justice and as I don't get out anymore I rely on you guys for my info.. Cheers mate.
@@66Slotter thanks buddy! A Ford falcon…. Now you are talking!!!!
Thanks for this video. Like the Golf, and a Bathurst Torana that figures in another video of yours, this is the sort of old school my Grandad had one of those cars they should produce more of. Great charm and realism!
What a brilliant review……. I absolutely love that little Angle box!
Great review buddy,I'm sure Scalextric will be more than happy. Good looking car and as you said the colour is very much of its time. Good work my friend 👍👍👍
@@robertsale6528 thanks Rob really appreciate it
Sorry you felt out of your comfort zone. You did absolutely great. Like you I am more of an admirer of slot cars than a hobbyist, so it was nice to get a review without having to listen about the intricate details that will not make a shilling worth of difference to me. That being said, I do admire those guys who present that type of review because of their dedication to the hobby. The layout is looking wonderful, and I am enjoying your changes and progress. Good on ya mate! 👍😁
PS: Must still be hot in the shed, because you are wearing less and less clothes. Next video could be very revealing. LOL
@@boykinater lucky the camera only shows from waist up!!! 😂 thanks buddy, that’s what makes this hobby so great there are so many aspects to it!
No need to feel out of your comfort zone Lee, nicely presented review of an absolute classic. Well done indeed 👍
@@garyterry2832 thanks Gary much appreciated buddy
Great review Lee and the type there should be more of. Yes it's good to see the working's of the car, but as most of us do.... Out of the box and on the track, can't be anymore honest. Keep up the good work mate.
@@Mac0666 thank you Mac!!
Hi. Years ago I joined a Scalextri racing club , it really opened my eyes. The amount of work that I had to do to be competitive was incredible. Grinding tyres to slicks adding small lead weights and putting superglue on the front tyres so they could slide inside the front arches. All the little tricks that I learned was great fun. But the preparation did take time. I had about forty cars in my garage and most of them were adapted to run on the club track. It all sounds a bit involved but I had a great time. I really like the Anglia, it looks very nice.
@@BrianSanders-tn7pi hi Brian thank you, as I said on the video I have so much respect for the slot car racers, absolute dedication and attention to detail. I love watching it. Thanks you for commenting 🙏
Had several real Ford Anglia’s in my time…all had to have the obligatory 5.5J wheels and Peco backbox…..Maroon colour was usually on 1200 cc Super versions. 😁👍🏼
Great review Lee, especially as it has some special memories for you 👍
@@vernonscave309 thanks Vernon, crazy how cars can evoke so many memories
Thank you Lee. Great review! I love the Anglia. I saw them a lot in my youth in Holland. A lot of cars were given nicknames back in the days. The Anglia's and Citroëns Break were called 'Jan met de pet'. Translated in English that would be 'John with the hood'. What about that?
@@adneele1305 thank you AD that’s really interesting to hear, love that nickname buddy!
You have done a cracking job for a review. Giving the majority of racers without a huge layout your honest opinion of an unusual car. Not everyone needs to know what compound the tyres are made from so I think you have done yourself proud. Well done.
@@Zaphodschannel thank you so much that really means a lot!
Fantastic job Lee. It’s people like you that help keep me interested in the hobby.
@@Rick-Jangle thanks Rick that’s great to hear mate
Well done Lee, a nice straightforward review, with a sentimental perspective thrown in 👍 by the way you must be cooking in the shed with the foil insulation 😮
@@Carl.SlotCarImagination cheers Carl, it does get hot in there but with the door open and the fan on it is just about bearable!!
Nice review Lee, I am catching up on videos. Great review.
@@SlotCar2021 thanks buddy, I’m so behind watching videos!!!! 😂
Nice one Lee.....going to put it in my wish list.Cheers.
@@stephenforfitt1707 you got to get one Stephen!!
Very nice review there Lee!!!!! It's the first car my dad owned and I really like the color!!!!!!!
@@slotcardude68 thanks Nico, a bit of nostalgia!! It is a lovely little car
Great review Lee . These will look great racing against one of scalextrics minis ...I'd remove the magnets and stick some weight in ..I'm waiting until a brighter racing livery comes available and I'd definitely buy it 🤗 you did great Lee 👍
@@HARRYS_SLOTCARS_N_RC_CRAWLERS thanks Harry much appreciated my friend
Thank you for the excellent review of this interesting and very nice running car. My wife and daughter in law are big fans of Harry Potter, so it goes without saying that I have pre-ordered that version, Lol!
@@All-ScaleSlotCars ah yes the Harry Potter Anglia is a classic!!
Well done mate. Entertaining and informative
@@robinma2000 cheers Robin!
Great review Lee. I'm same vintage as yourself and living in Australia have seen my fair share of Anglia's in my time. Top marks to Scalextric to gifting you one for your collection. You did them a great service reviewing it and I was quite surprised at how quick & quiet it was on your track. May have to source one for myself down here after seeing your review. Cheers mate Gary.
@@Detail56 thanks mate and yes you should get one!!
Love the magnet and fillings joke … cracked up 🤣
@@tonydrony2670 to to have some humour in there Tony 😂
Just saw a Ford Anglia on a Usa tv show called American Pickers. The owner was planning a rebuild for it. Fascinating car and yes the slot car also!🏁
@@OKSlotCarTesting cheers bro 👊
Awesome Buddy
It’s all about having Fun
@@darrenhall6400 absolutely Daz!
Great review 👍
@@wheresfekkesh7375 thanks buddy!
Nice little car.
@@Clearwater124 thanks buddy
Nice car but... I think a magnetless test would be more fun!
@@santipia6 you might be right, worth a try I think
Mate , I wish scalextric would do us a favour by making much better cars with better quality & all cars given a test before they are sent out aa they cost to much for what you get .
Sorry Lee but couldn’t let that go without saying something BUT I am glad that your enjoying the hobby
@@brianjarred340 thanks Brian, it is important to get comments like this, I know Scalextric appreciate both positive and negative feedback
Nice review Lee
Bit disappointed to hear there is no DPR panel, is that because of the size of the car?
🍻Mal
@@3roomsraceway612 hi Mal, yes Scalextric have confirmed it is purely down to the car size
@@leesslotcars thanks for the info mate
