I can't believe this is only $130 USD, Mike. Is it ultra pro quality? No of course not. But think 20 years ago, you would never get a multi effects unit of this quality for this price, in this small of an enclosure. This would be a great unit for a beginner guitarist, alongside eg: a Squier CV.

13 year vet player here, it’s great for all walks of playing! I recently started getting into playing around with studio monitors and with my Boss ME-50, i didn’t have a cab sim built in, so my unit sounded horrible distorted through the speakers without the cab sim. When I bought my Matribox however, with the cab and amp sims built in, I found it was the piece of the puzzle that was missing into developing a great sound with it. I’m also running a Boss Katana artist MKII head from the back of the head, straight into the stereo inputs of both of the monitors. Now I have that full sound and started playing individual pedals mixed in and on occasion I’ll also play with the built in effects on the amp if I’m not using it on the board already. It’s fun to just play around for hours with it and even if I just utilize the cab sim feature, for $100, the cab sim alone is worth it. Most cab sim pedals are like $400 for a semi reputable one.

Hey Mike, did you plug this into the front of your amp or into the effects loop?

That just looks like something you would find boxes of stacked in the back of an electronics / toy store in Taiwan. Non guitarists would wonder how such a thing can tell both your blood pressure AND your temperature without needing a probe. ''Oh, that must be what these inputs are for in the back''. Tell me I'm wrong or don't.

@@tasteapiana well given what it’s supposed to appeal to, you’d think it’s designed towards gear heads and especially when most of the market for them are aged 30+. This is coming from a 25 year old who was a kid when all of this modern innovation came into play with guitar gear. Other than that I spent all my time around older players growing up and playing with actual vintage gear and this is right up their alley in terms of design.
