Fia (I believe that's the woman in the video) did a wonderful job, even with Andrea covering her vocals. She certainly captured the Splicer look with the mask.

I think my favorite part of this is Andrea's descent ? There's the obvious "50s pin up to feral lunatic" journey, sure, but there's also how Stienmen slowly takes over the lyrics and video.
The first verse she sings a good chunk of it, and she's dancing with him in scenes that are framed as almost romantic. They're equals, she wants this. The second verse he's dominating the story, with her interlude almost feeling jarring, like a call for help, and she's flashing in when she's not dead on the operating table. He's taken control, and she's realizing what's happened while struggling to be heard, even by herself. Third verse, she's gone. It's all Stienman, and even when she's alive she's still and unresponsive. Note it ends abruptly where the chorus should be -- by the end, he's literally removed her voice from the story, leaving nothing but his gaslighting and delusions. He's made her into the doll he thinks of her as.
It's a really neat example of video, musical composition and lyrics combining to tell a story!

Also notice the symbolism at the start. She's holding flowers like a corpse would at their funeral. Her fate was sealed the moment she laid down on the operating table.

Best thing about Steinman? He was already like this BEFORE being invited to Rapture. The madness was already there, ADAM just cut the brakes
'Cut the breaks' is a fantastic way to describe how ADAM fucks with even people that are already insane XD.

I feel like everyone underestimates the ability of people to be regular crazy when the crazy drugs start making everyone crazy. Ryan never took Adam and he was completely out of sync with reality by the end

I absolutely love it when they make Bioshock songs.. it really captures the essence in my opinion.

Steinman worked so well as an introduction to Rapture, he captures the essence of this land without moral bounds perfectly while still being general enough in traits that the rest of our villains can just build of that perfectionist mindset

Absolutely love how the scene is constantly shifting from the first white clean doctors room with the patient waiting for her surgery to the dark damp room with the previous patient as a corpse it reminds me of the little sister section of Bioshock 2
The constant flip-flop is great, it's like we're seeing what Steinman THINKS is happening and what's REALLY happening.
We don’t ever give up on Bioshock, it’s just too good. Even Bioshock: Infinite is a fine game.

You know bioshock is a brilliant game when a villain who only appears in one level of the game and is never mentioned again AND only has 3 or 4 lines is still so memorable people make songs about his character 17 years after the games released.
Never would I have expected another Bioshock song in my life. It's been 7 years since the first one came out and this one hits hard just the same

It fits so well the portrayal in the game. Like how probably every woman Steinman tried to operate on was already beautiful or decent and in the end he either ends up killing them or making them into crazed splicers. Even in the line " And this broad so symmetrical it hurts." Like she was already pretty and she ended up disfigured after.
And after so many failed attempts he went crazy... if he wasn't already crazy already.
I'm pretty sure he was already messed up already. Living in Rapture granted him a chance to stop holding back.

@@dripyeager9947 the worst part of BioShock is when you keep getting caught in death loops from running out of ammo and health kits. Technically as long as you keep respawning at the vita chambers you can never truly lose but it's making your way back that makes it so tedious you can't even get that far
I love the successive change of the tone of the chorus in this song. From the uppity and glamorous at the start, to the gradually darker and more sinister tone as we go along.
Also, major props to the costume department, the direction, and the cosplayer doing the victim. Even among your live action videos, this one stands out, both in terms of the looks, but also the visual narrative.

You just keep filling out the Bioshock lore with epic raps. Each characters' pursuit of perfection gone wrong, yet with lyrics and visuals that are so right. Thanks for the Bioshock Love.
Honestly I would have zero complaints if we just every few months get another JT bioshock song for each and every character. You'd never even think Steinman was just a one-and-done boss fight with how incredible this turned out, so we definitely know the crew could make plenty of other characters work.
Personally, my hopes are for a Sinclair or a Porter/Minerva's Den song!

A bit late to the party, but this song has been a constant ear worm for the last week! Everything after 2:00 is just perfect especially with the video! It's just... perfect. An artist masterpiece greater than anything Steinman could do you could say!

I literally just introduced my little brother to Bioshock today. He killed Steinman, and then this shows up!?!? WHAT THE FUC-
OK, the song is absolutely amazing like always when it it comes to JT, however can we talk about the video its self? The set design. the acting, the makeup, the Shakey edits for when someone hits something, for me personally, music not included, my favourite part of the video is from 1:47 - 2:12. I love everything about it, the amazing visuals, skull's dramatization (amazing), Andreas delivery of her lines + the amazing costume design and makeup, the acting etc.
I could go on and on, but I want to say that you all did an amazing job, you always do and I love the live action videos so much I've been subscribed to you guys for a long time now and i am so glad that I get to witness something so amazing.
I'd love nothing more than to meet you all because you all seem like such amazing and fun people but unfortunately, that's probably not gonna happen since I live in Switzerland, I mean heck, I'd be surprised you even noticed this message, let alone respond or acknowledge it in any way.

Literally have no clue what bioshock is, but just like Masquerade, into my playlist it goes.
I recommend playing Bioshock, it's a really good game, all three of them in fact.
For a little context, the game takes place in an underwater city built by a rich venture capitalist for all the elite to live.
They have all the scientists and artists, and discovered a mutagenic substance called “Adam” that gives them superpowers.
But when you lock a bunch of rich, entitled bastards together in isolation with an addictive super juice…well, degeneracy is an inevitability isn’t it?
