I love how neither of you addressed that massive fart 🤣
I noticed that too. That’s how you know they’re getting old😂
Just poking fun hopefully obviously
Just showing off how good their injectors are.
@@risingstar1309 I miss the inuendos they used to do when they'd be shoving wiring through a hole 🤣
it was added air to be injected to the fuel mix

Marty’s become a true craftsman. Watching his skills advance over the years has been fantastic
That’s a big call but I appreciate the sentiment! Always have to be prepared to learn
And nothing wrong with the paper gasket, many cereal boxes the world over have been used even for head gaskets.
@@wobblysauce cereal box gaskets FTW! Some No/3 aviation cement and we're on a winner!! 😃
@@mightycarmods You killed it Marty A grinder and paint makes us the welder we aint!" This isn't AutoSalon it's get it running for the TV shoot chewing gum and sticky tape as long as it holds together for a skid !
Even did some purging, minus the welding :D
The over-flight parts from Japan was such a surprise for the first episode and a reminder why this is the best Midget building channel in the world 😂
Don't forget #1 4 Wheel Drive channel in all of CZcams!
How is it a surprise? They travel to Japan multiple times a year….
@AlexCorona There's usually a bit of a heads up for it if it's a turbos and temples release or a big project series at the start, I don't think anyone largely expected it here from the get go
@@krispychiken subie channel too
@@alexcorona so do I bro, but I’ve never jumped on a plane grabbed a part and came back the next day haha
1:49 someone was very excited!! 🤣🤣
That was not a fuel injector.
They recently adopted a duck thats living in the shop🤣
@@Hybridesque it's a subliminal advert for a GFB blow off valve.
The wastegate definitely opened up there! 😂😂😂
Fab work, engine swaps, welding etc. Marty's skills keep levelling up! Perhaps Turbo Yoda's influence?
Like farther like son ;)
Marty is turbo grogu
This episode is top notch, seems like you are out of your comfort zone for the first time in a long time ( especially Marty ) and you really make the best of it, love it all the way
Time to put Al´s lessons to use. 👌
This was a great episode. You guys have come far from peeing on Volkswagens
Amen, it's cool to see how both their skills and the confidence with which they approach builds has evolved over the years
This build is the best one in a while. I love the odd ball builds. Thanks guys
Manufacturing drama is so lame.
@Mean Man your name is correct
I began to enjoy this channel even more knowing that you make and use your own music.
They have for years. It's great!!! They both do music production besides MCM.
Super keen on the release of this music. Hopefully we'll also get the instrumental stuff which is amazing.
I really like the scuffed nature of this whole thing, best series you've done in a while. Almost none of us have a Dave, Mechanical Stig and Turbo Yoda on call to do all the bespoke custom specialist stuff. Frankensteining a motor together from factory bits for a power upgrade is something I've done myself, and seeing Marty hastily cut and glue together some scrap plate like most of us would do in our sheds makes it much more relateable.
When it comes to engine swaps there are a lot of 'known' ones that the internet can tell you how to do it, Going old school like this and using the 'FAFO' method is awesome. Also Moog jokes about it not really being a big block swap but a 33.3% increase is pretty damn impressive even if you cant get the boost snail spooling.
It's actually slightly more than a 50% increase, plus they now have DOHC.
50% increase
Percentage increase are a percentage of the original value - so 660cc -> 1000cc is actually a 50% increase because 330cc is 50% of the original displacement
I cannot explain why, I always crack the hell up whenever I see the random ass bare foot in the shop shots. Lmao always hilarious seeing the random bare foot putting in work.😂 love this series, can't wait to see the nugget rip!
Same, It's like Russel Coight handshakes!... 😂
I always look forward to Mighty Car Mods Episodes. Really makes the day go by :). Been watching since the beginning and love the content. I think it is awesome that you guys have stayed true to your roots.
I've been warching since buying a car with an MCM sticker on it. Glad I looked them up instead of taking it off. Now I have merch merch merch. Best 4WD channel on the interwebs!
Such an epic build on one of the nuggetiest nuggets available. Love it. The levorg build was amazing and now it really seems like you guys are leaving your comfort zone here. Thanks for showing us
This episode series is absolutely GOLD!
2 episodes in one week! Absolutely stoked
Aw yes, at 22:04 it looks like there is a bunch of room around the gearbox to put even more go-fast-bobs in!
that's where the turbo goes
Boost at 1:50 sounds great
Music to my ears.
That blowoff valve...

Inspiring stuff, visualising a solution, having a go, adapting as you go. This is the best of the back yard stuff we do.
my old 1.3l 4efte in Suzuki alto just squeezed in but the fun that comes of it never stop smiling. keep up good work fellas.
1:50 boost leak ? Lmao
Best automotive CZcams channel in the world right now!!
*off-road 4x4 channel
Dudes. Marty's fab skills have grown so much! You dudes have come so far, it is honestly impressive! Much love from South Dakota!
This and the Levorg STI swap are probably my most favoritest builds y'all have done! Good job folks
Watching you two learning as you go and experimenting is such a cool thing and an amazing reminder of your early days. Been here since the start and it’s amazing to see. You still learning after a decade of being on CZcams!
Marty working with Alan inspired him to freestyle which I love ! This is evolution…create solutions
Thanks guys for another great video. I love the bulids you've done for the SuperCheap ads. I'm going through a very hard time at the moment and your videos are really helping. I look forward to getting well enough to work on my own car again.
Marty's crating skills are so impressive, amazing work as always guys! Can't wait to see the rest of this build and the boost build afterwards!
The fart at 1:55😂😂👌
Must say best CZcamsrs online .. it’s insane I been watching you guys build n sell n fight like brothers 😂 for over 15 years from Chicago you’re biggest fan ✌🏽✌🏽
Epic episode guys, this mini series really brings back the classic vibes of MCM! Been watching you guys since day one and you're still my #1 youtube channel!
Aww yeaaah! 🤘
Hahahaha that fart at 1:51 🤣🤣
Nice to see a ute build on the worlds greatest four wheeling channel
I can't imagine how stressful this situation is, lol. Love it boys.
1:50 BRAAAP. He's so keen that even his body is making engine sounds.
Hay moog. Great to bump into you at the bowls club tonight. I was a bit nervous and did not want to disturb you. But I appreciate you being a gent about it! Absolute legend and keep up the great work!
this is absolutely insane, so pumped for the next episode!
1:51 wet one lol, good stuff
How good is it when it just fits in. And Moog, the music was unreal!
Love this story guys. You’re both clearly working on the fly and drawing on all your skills and knowledge of the engines to meet that deadline. Hoping it will be turbo’d in time. Can’t wait👍
Thats an awesome build. The levorg is of course also awesome but the way its edited and filmed feels somehow more distant. Its more like a TV show where as here i feel like im in the garage with the guys problem solving :D
You're legends MCM crew, thanks for making my after work relax awesome.
Glad you enjoyed it
I Carnt wait for the next instalment..
I need you both to promise that you will still do these videos when you hit the young age of 90.. Don't ever stop😊❤️
I am so excited about this build. Marty has ruined me I love all small japanese nuggets, my current daily is a Suzuki Savage single 652cc cylinder motorcycle. Love from Ireland 🇮🇪
This is an epic build 💖 I really hope you can get the turbo in at some point because then it's out of this world 💜☮️💙
#1 tip for people taking something apart they are planning to use for parts. Walk around it and take 100 pictures. Do this every hour or two depending on how fast you're going. Phone space is cheap, knowing where things went is priceless.
the new workshop was one of the best investments you guys ever made.
proud of you guys.
Hopefully the turbo works. If not at least we have a future episode to look forward to.
Huh, I always thought a big block swap was going from a 350 (5.7L) to a 454 (7.4L). You learn something new every day!
They are going from 600cc to 1000cc - so their engine swap is actually larger than your example, being a 40% increase in volume. Your example was only a 33% increase.
@@jong2359 it's even better, a 66% increase!
If my calcs are correct (they probably aren’t), then the 5.7 to 7.4L swap is a 29% increase. 660cc to 1000cc is a 51% increase, so nearly double the increase of your traditional V8 big block swap.
@@jong2359 LOL... how about going from a 283 (4.6L) to a 7.4L?
@@daniel.s8126 Yeah, that's the correct, I went from 600 to 1000 for the 66% increase, but it's incredible anyways. 1l big block ftw!
I love that you guys have stuck with Daihatsus the whole run! Such awesome little cars. These types of engine swaps really fang my dangle
This is awesome! Love what you guys do. Never stop being you and keep it up.
Marty is actually a well of wisdom
Super talented too
Up early with a hot coffee just brewed and a fresh episode of MCM. Thank you very much.
I believe the engine you took out of the L251 is the EJ-VE, the port on the head is the oil feed for the variable valve timing, I think this gets cooked without oil flowing through it.
The fart and the bare foot pump on the pedal out of no where 😅 loved that the injectors are going in this. Bringing the channel cars together. Epic build.
End this series by driving it off of a pier into the water, followed by a small "bloop" sound
Did moon rip a nice fart at 1:51
With your gasket build, it reminded me of a story my grandfather told me many years ago. His mate was driving around Australia in an old Austin, when he blew a head gasket in the outback. It was going to take weeks for him to have one sent from Sydney, however he knew there was an old concrete works not far out of town. He went there & grabbed some old concrete bags (the old reinforced 40kg bags, not the flimsy ones you find on bags nowadays), fashioned a gasket out of said bag, with the belief he would get home & replace. In the end, he drove that car for almost another 10 years before selling it, still running the concrete bag gasket.
I can't wait until you actually turbo that thing.
I have only ever seen one other midget truck running around Sydney, it is blue in colour.
The level of skill and knowledge you fellas have now is unreal! Shows us all what we can with nothing but spare time and passion! Bless!!
im impressed by the timeline that you guys have and the fact that you are not giving up. altough you have a deadline but it doesent matter. Great job guys. Holla from Finland !
i understand from experience that this swap isn't easy.
DAM!!! You guy's really stepping UP the level on this build and under Time frame to. Love it guy's you rock!!!.
It's been a while since I've been excited about a MCM build. But I'm loving this. An odd vehicle with a lot of challenges and customisation. Its great!
Moog one of the best songs you got mate… brings back memories! Keep the gnarly builds goin!
You guys are consistently amazing! Thank you so very much for doing what you do, and letting the world (or 38 of its 7.89 billion of inhabitants) participate in watching
I love when you guys do this kind of build. Wish you guys didn't have to rush these. If you guys just had the time you could have e this completely finished a d EPICLY HOTRODED with the big block and turbo.
Best Off Road channel on CZcams! Great content as usual. Thanks for making my day.
epic work on a really tight schedule build
also hats off to the unacknowledged 1:50 pants-ripper
Incredible work boys! Really well done on that crazy fabrication in the short time frame!
Yessssss the long format is great and we learn so so much yes :))))) so happy. also yes we all heard it
i've made so many custom gaskets over the years... and they've all held as well as stock as long as they were the same kind of paper. there are a bunch of different gasket sheets you can get from even a basic hardware store, and if all else fails, good card stock or cereal boxes plus some silicone can get you through a pinch.
Been watching you guys for years now and the progress from waiting for birds to shutup to making engine mounts and big blocking a midget is pretty awesome, best show on yt by miles✌️❤️👌
Those intake runners are SO long. That thing is going to be a torque monster. CAN'T WAIT!!!
A healthy 1.0L will make 80HP so turbo'd probably 150HP. Or 112 kW (kangaroo watts).
Great job guys. Love seeing your fabrication skills coming in to full bloom.
1:45 I love this channel so much.
Day off for the first time in 11 months and I can have this episode with my morning coffee.
There should really be something boxing those engine mounts in and some bolts on the other side of the intake flange.. But it's easy to armchair fabricate from my Laptop, instead of in a time crunch at Supergarage. Either way, I love seeing Marty doing more and more difficult fabrication!
I love you guys! To see you fly over and get those parts and come back and carry on is just epic! Can’t wait to see a new GARRETT gen2 go on,big front mount and HALTECH ecu! A Scott (tuning fork) tune and Bam 💥 💯🇦🇺👌🏼👍🏼
Love seeing how much you guys have grown! I couldn't stop smiling watching Martin the Fabricator in action! Well done fellas!
Great build, engine mount fab gave me ideas for my project, thank you, Marty and Moog!
Great Builds as always boys. I look forward to seeing the epic new ad for Supercheap Auto. I'm also interested in hearing how this will sound before and after a turbo.
Awesome thanks for the quick uploads
My god what a feat! So many obstacles and fabrication! Truly impressive. Cannot wait to hear it su-tutuing, perhaps after the commercial!
16:58 I do not know by what kind of black magic Alan looks always so nice and fun to have around.
Literally overnight parts from Japan.. what a boss.. DOM would approve
Alan would be proud of just do it attitude and having a crack with all the fab work. ❤
Excited to see this build finished up 👀
The Music is pretty epic in this episode! The voice of the singer is great!
This is a modern hot rod, not just off the shelf performance parts but taking parts from other models and making the best of what you got.
Exciting stufffff!!!
Classic MCM content, love it.
This is the kind of project I live to watch and NEVER want to do myself
@1:51 Amazin
I thought this was gonna take longer to get you guys are awesome :) 😀
1:51 fart is toooo classic!!! 🤣🤣🤣
So cool to see you guys ramping up your fabrication skills to make it work!
that is the cutest tiny turbo I have ever seen!!!!!
Finally! I've been waiting for a whole day :D
Marty’s Fabrication skills have come on massively. It’s so good to see how far you have come building cars. 👌
Awesome lads I'm loving this 👏 marty fair play man alot of work done very tricky stuff
The ingenuity! Well done boys!
This episode brings home just how much Marty has learned over the last few years that I've been watching the channel. Fabbing up engine mounts, cutting and welding manifolds, etc all done well and in a hurry. Gone are the days when 2Sexy went to Al's for an engine swap!
