- The song today for Waylon Wednesday is "Big Boss Man", recorded from one of my favorite shows back in the day on TNN, Waylon Jennings and Friends.
All these gentlemen are the real Big Boss Men; the true legends in American blues and outlaws industry ❤❤❤
The first time I've seen Danny Dawson or Lee Roy Parnell and I am a 100% fan of both as I already was with Waylon & Travis!!
I knew of Leeroy but not much just went to the song of the mountains and saw him last month he put on a well of a show it will air on pbs sometime this year it is in Marion va nice place if you get the chance to go going to see jr brown in 5\5\24 lookn ford to seeing him to

Never seen any racists in real country music.
I maintain that real music comes out of human beings working together. If you go back to the old 1920s recordings, there wasn't the separation or division of later years, it was all just music. Personally I find this more "blues" than Jimmy Reed's original.

i know waylon can rip im not sure why he didnt get a solo but this was phenomenal
I know he got carpal tunnel surgery at one point which hurt his ability to play. This might be after that surgery.
I think he totally quit playing lead guitar after he had the surgery. It’s a shame too, but I guess decades of picking can mess you up.

Great Jimmie Reed song. Danny Dawson is new to me. Lee Roy's slide is fine. Waylon, Travis, everyone does a good job on this one. I myself sing this a couple of time to my elder residence singalong audiences. Fun.
Lee Roy still picks a mean guitar, was watching some videos of him performing from Music City Roots live at the Factory, excellent stuff.

I went to see Travis Tritt in Concert when I was a kid.
Saw Travis a couple of times. The one I remember best was, Brooks and Dunn opened the concert, then Travis came on and just killed it. Then Reba closed the show and she was ok too.

Does anyone know if Danny Dawson ever put out an album? I see plenty of stuff online about his performances but there doesn't seem to be much in the area of stuff he's recorded in the studio.
