Hen's face of fear kills me. Eddie's desperation when climbing up to him just kills me. Those two are best friends and they care for each other so much. Stop hurting the best besties! But Bobby really kills me. Earlier in the episode when he is begging the baby to cry is heart-wrenching because you know that he never wants to see another child die, no matter if he knows them or not. But then he sees Buck, someone who he considers a son (you know he does) get hit and fall then hang there, lifeless and injured, and he can't do anything about how he feels right then. He has to get Buck down and get him out of there. When he says, "Come here, kid. Come here..." you can FEEL the agony in his voice. It's shaking and broken. When Bobby looked up and saw Buck just hanging there you could see his heart break into a million pieces and he practically cradled Buck like that baby from earlier when they were lowering him down. Just this entire scene is so cinematic, so well done, and so so painful. It's beautiful yet terrible to watch.
Did anyone else notice how Bobby stumbled backwards as Chim was working on Buck? I love the father/son dynamic between them. This was one heart wrenching episode with one heck of a cliffhanger. Ugh.
At this point I’m convinced Buck is like the Castiel of 911 the writers seem to keep testing the waters of killing him off but everyone would freak so they never go all the way.

Buck's character: choking to the point of needing an emergency tracheostomy, victim to a bombing, having an embolism, being caught in a Tsunami (while on blood thinners), getting trapped in a fire (while not in the best of mental health states) and now being struck by lightning... Plus, let's not forget every single time that his character witnessed the near-death experiences of his breloved ones! Like Eddie who is certainly one of the people Buck cares about the most, and we know that in his books it's much worse than himself almost dying several times! So... What exactly are the writers trying to do here?!
My mom (who watches the show with me and was upstairs while I was downstairs watching by myself) heard my yelling and came down saying “I heard yelling so I’m assuming something happened” she too is anxiously waiting for next Monday.
No pulse?! CARDIAC ARREST!??! WHY Y'ALL GOTTA DO THIS TO BUCK!!!! Also Eddie could have screamed a little bit more because if he heard the way Buck screamed for him when he got shot smhhh
It seems like the writers love to have us at the edge of our seats with almost “killing off” or favorite characters every character on 9-1-1 including lone star has all had a near death experience why do they keep messing with us lol
A big part of me thinks the Buckleys are going to refuse to go to the hospital. Just say it's still too hard for them after all these years. And that will be the end of their relationship with Buck and he and Bobby and Athena will finally become the child/parent match-up we've all been expecting for so long.
How on earth that the ladder still working because it has been struck by lightning and blew off Eddie out his feet also can't wait for next week's episode I hope Buck is alright ???? 🤔
I'm finally getting around to watch Season 6 (which is really good btw!!) and this scene had me bawling. I don't even know why I cried so hard, I think it was the combination of Eddie rushing up to get him, Bobby cradling him, plus him just hanging there unconscious. Ugh my soul. Poor Buck.
Also the acting in this is amazing. The only part that is not Oliver acting is with Buck hanging off the ladder and that was confirmed by Oliver himself. He also said that the hard part for him with filming this as it took 2 days filming at night with cold water being sprayed on the cast and crew, was when he had to stay completely still with water dripping everywhere on his face and in his nose. But again he and everyone else did such a wonderful job with this episode and the next one
The only thing with this scene was that they didn't give Eddie enough time, like when he got there, there should've been a scene of him trying to survive him. He got there and Cap told him to drive, he should've been in the back with him. I really hope they make it up for next week's episode with them
You do get that's what the scene powerful. In this moment, Bobby, Hen and Chim all know Buck's heart isn't beating, that he is basically dead - that's why Bobby tells Eddie to get in and drive. So the reality of it doesn't hit Eddie yet because SOMEONE has to drive. Eddie has to drive or else he'd lose his mind.

I saw Evan dangling there and all I could think was, “Eddie, dont look up! Dont look up! It’ll break you!” My babies go through too much! I was JUST saying, while they were riding in the truck in the scene before this, that Buck is the baby of the group because of his sensitivity and slight naïveté. He just wants his family to be alright so he’s always aware of everyone’s moods and what he can do to help! They always wanna hurt my baby!!! Im so sick of this shit! 😢 The subsequent thoughts were all jumbled but repetitive af! “Why is it always Buck?!” “I knew they were *too* happy!” “He *just* got his other family straight!” “Bobby won’t be able to take this!” “Maddy is gonna crumble!” “RYAN YOU PIECE OF SHIT! WHY IS IT ALWAYS BUCK?!”
Yes! Another person that agrees that Buck is the baby of the 118. I love him so much and the rest of them. They’re such a family (though I’m hoping Eddie and Buck become more than friends if ya know what I mean lol)
Why has it taken to the 100th time watching this (yes I am that sad) to realise during the slow bit it sounds like a heart beat slowing down until Eddie shouts Buck
If my team mate who I was very close to, was just laying there lifeless like that; I'd lose my mind. I remember losing a colleague in a chemical fire a few years ago, and I'd just spoken to her earlier, I was walking with our new colleague, laughing and making jokes. I was a bit of a loner at work and she stopped us and said "I'm so happy that you finally got your own person here. I'm really happy for you." She was a bit older than us. It was a hard day, I still cry about that day. Just hearing her daughter's screams after she found out, going to her house to pay our respects was so hard. She was so kind, and generous to everyone.

The subsequent thoughts were all jumbled but repetitive af!
BUCK
I can't breathe xD
I love this show 😂
Ok Eddie Kudos getting thrown off that ladder must have been super painful but it didn’t stop him from getting to his friend
Bobby: come here kid come here I got u I got u kid 😭😭🥹🥹🥹
I'm so scared for the next episode
WAIT HOW TF DO I NOT REMEMBER THIS SCENE??!
Why has it taken to the 100th time watching this (yes I am that sad) to realise during the slow bit it sounds like a heart beat slowing down until Eddie shouts Buck
Buddie canon
