  • Tim Drake came out, then Jonathon Kent did too, which actually sucked for those of us hoping for Tim Drake and Connor Kent to become canon. DC are trolling us all at this point #makeithappen

I love timkon but the writing has to be perfect for the couple cause this (for me) would be a big moment. If they can’t give the couple the respect and integrity they deserve then sadly don’t do it and leave it to the ao3 writers

Although twitter is mostly a toxic cesspool, I do love how accessible it makes people to their fans. I'm pretty sure Belen drew the cover for the Wonder Woman Special earlier this year and it looked great!

I'm gay I don't like the term queer, and I dislike what's happening to the LGB community now it full of made up labels that are harmful to gay rights, Tim drake suddenly being gay or bi felt forced it was handled poorly and there was no build up I would have made it stretch out and I don't like straight girls writing gay stories for real gay men so much damage has been done to gay rights in the last 10 years very stressed I let it all out because someone has to be brave.

You might not like the term queer, but the community as a whole is reclaiming it so you're going to hear it a lot more.
All labels are made up - that's how language works.
Tim Drake was never suddenly bi as my video explained. I agree though the reveal should have been done in a better way - an anthology series story couldn't do it justice and short changed every aspect of the story. However, Tim drake was being pushed aside for Damien Wayne so an anthology story was all he was going to get.
I am actually currently writing an essay on why most gay characters suck, and them not being written by gay writers with actual gay experiences, and straight women fetishising gay men are the main reason.

@@whatthepop925 yeah it’s the male version of lipstick lesbianism.
I’m bi myself and my biggest problem with the whole Tim being bi thing is how they handled everything with Stephanie. Those two really resonated with me because of how Tim had to keep his life hidden from her once she knows both sides of his life they can truly be happy (which something speaks more to bi guys more so than bi girls) But nope we’re gonna trash that and pair him off with the guy who thought Tim’s stepmom was hot.
As for Conner, I didn’t want that but I figured I see what people see here, because I love Harley and Ivy, so I looked into TimKon. And you may love this little tidbit, the issue where Tim and Conner first meet is titled “Where have you been all my life?”
When I first saw that I was like “Shit…there may be something here…”

@@somerandomsmarta556 lol I didn''t actually notice that about their first meeting! If you haven't already, go watch my other video on Tim Drake coming out as Bi, because it's always been there (well for 2 decades at least).
I have to say though, I've never really believed the Tim and Stephanie's relationship, it always felt to me like friends that were trying to take it further but never getting there. Partly that's because Tim never seemed to be into her advances that much (I talk about that in the vid), but also probably because I was already firmly team TIMKON by then lol

@@whatthepop925 yeah to top it off the issue where they meet ends with Tim getting a ring ready for Conner (a kryptonite ring mind you, but still!), and the follow up is titled “Honey can you pass the ring”
It could work but I still see Conner as straight so it’s gonna take some convincing. Some of the straightest guys I know do the gayest shit I have ever seen with their bros. And Conner would flirt with anything female. Tim and Kon didn’t become best friend until Teen Titans. I am so torn, I love them as bros and think it could work but there is something to address here. Maybe just have them be friends with benefits 😆
With Steph, yeah Tim didn’t respond to her advances but I always read that as the fact he was dating Ariana at the time, and girls can be more assertive than the guys. So I saw it more as him being an awkward teenager with a gorgeous outgoing girl. Then again the storyline where Steph was pregnant was where Tim became my favorite character so I guess I’m attached.
