This was the first game I owned that had endless replay value. I was 7 when I first played it and I'm 29 now and have gone back several times. It never fails me lol.
I feel this exact way about X4, Mega Man X games have something about them that makes them so replayable Idk what it is lol

Bruh i feel you. I grew up on the first X. Then as i got older i was able to get x4 for the Saturn and 5-7 on the Playstation. I still go back to play these games repeatedly. I was so hyped when i got the first collection on ps2. Glad they did another collection on the ps4.
Completed the first x today and now dealing x2! Love it! Watched as kid when my brothers played all the x games. Now its my turn
Melvin Arends MMX2 is extremely underrated in my opinion. It gets a lot of flack for being “too similar” to MMX. I disagree; I think it was perfect as far as sequels go. It stayed true to the style of MMX while adding that extra story and gameplay twist of defeating the X-Hunters and rescuing Zero, something completely original and never really done before in gaming

Its never too late. I grew up playing X1. Best childhood. X2 is good but not as good as the first one. Still a great game tho. And i love how its really similar to x1. Wish the soundtrack was better.

The music when you first fight Sigma in Mega Man X2 was re-arranged as the Ultron Sigma theme in Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite.
If you take this dudes codes and lock them in. They actually work, I tried it and it gave me all of his armor. I made it through basically the whole game without even knowing their were armor pieces you could collect

My favorite character in the entire Megaman series and every spin off is that Reploid that was riding along with X at the beginning of this game.
Wow! Found it! I remember how scary and difficult this game was for me as a kid. The big purple robot at the beginning, the rising lava, the roadrunner boss arriving from the distance, morph moth. Had been wondering what this game I remembered was for a while!!

4:56. It is possible to dash jump from a very narrow margin-specific spot on the right hand wall leftwards and make it up to the Double-armcharge cannon upgrade. I just did it today. Reflexes of the jump are your friend xD

Wheel Gator is actually easier without his weakness. He automatically just jumps in the sludge to avoid damage. It's better to just fight him with the buster
I commend you for playing wheel alligator first. That is not a beginning friendly level. That stage used to give me hell!

+LordCloudStrife Wheel Gator is so much easier with the X buster than the Wire Chain since he counters by going under everytime. Why I start with him, plus his weapon unlocks ALOT.
I mean its still kind of tough anyways because of the wheels that retract from the wall when he uses that variation of the attack.

I think its pretty fucking stupid that theres no other way to obtain that heart piece other than being in damaged frame mode to climb up and get it because it requires pixel perfection to do it.

But the real way to do it is charging Flame Stag power and then double dashing to reach the Health Tank

that's because that x hunter was on that map at the moment you defeated the Maverick... you have to restart the game (or use a code where you hasn't killed that mav) in order to get all zero pieces

I like the Mavericks better than the robot masters in terms of their design. They feel a lot more creative imo and they each have some interesting themes, like Magna Centipede or even Tornado Tonion
i like some of x2 music but i dont find it as memorable as x1. the few exception being the x-hunters HQ (when they watch megaman) and the reploid factory music
Me too, i don't like the major of musics. The best ones are X-Hunter Stages and the Bubble Crab Stage that's is used on X5 too.

***** Can't forget Zero's music. Best music by far in X2. I wish more of the music in X2 was like that. Also, my opinion, I think the music (and the whole scene) in the final Sigma battle is really good too. They did a really good job of making it seem really creepy/serious/intense
I dislike most of them. I don't like the instruments and the music itself. The boss fight music is forgettable, the intro scene music (that part that plays and ends with a 3d model of x head spinning before the game starts), sounds like a reploid country music). X1 had a nice soundtrack, X2 falied, X3 is ok, X4 had its moments, X5 is good, but not great, X6 is better than X5 imo, X7 had some nice tracks, can't remember any from X8 but final boss, vile and berserk boss fight, so meh... Zero 1 is nice, it gives a feeling of a group of people trying to endure a powerful govern that aims to wipe the group out (haha, it fits the game well XD), Zero 2 is nice too, Zero 3 is also nice, Zero 4 was a letdown, it reminds me of X2 for whatever reason. ZX is quite good, ZXA is less good than ZX. MHX is not as good as X1, MMPU is actually funny. The classic series are overall good, I don't know MM4 and 5 enough to say. MM unlimited (fan game) has some good tracks. MMxSF is funny because of the 8 bit arrangement of SF games. I intended to talk just about the X2 soundtrack, but remembering the tracks from other games was kinda fun :D (sorry for the poor english)
