The actual battle has more buildings and less jungle and some air suppprt involved. Still a great video though. 👍

@Crixus Maximus the mod may have Broncos but for more modern aircraft they can also use the Little Bird for MG520 helicopters. Of course there's the Huey. And F-16s can be used as KFA-50s.
@Crixus Maximus Broncos are tough and more importantly easy to maintain. They can fly from short unpaved airfields. Though the PH Air Force will replace them with the Embraer Super Tucano.
Tbh, A lot more attention to detail on the AFP would be enough for me. Sadly, Arma does not hve a mod that supports AFP issue camo schemes, I think.

Actually, there is a mod for Broncos, just in a modpack for Vietnam war, called Unsung. You can also find many Vietnam war weapons there that even the Philippines still uses

iirc thats how the battle started. there was already intelligence of a possible attack. so a pre-emptive strike was conducted. but upon during the initial strike. the rebels fled and proceeded to put their plan of invading the city into action.

Battle of Marawi was mostly in an urban environment where the Filipino troops found it hard to fight since they are more trained in jungle warfare. Most fights are fought by snipers and few other skirmishes and close range fights and aerial supports.

If anyone's asking as to why it's not on an urban setting, let me explain. ITS ARMA 3. It tends to be a lagfest of a game sometimes.
For those who don’t know Marawi was a city in the Philippines where a group of IS militants took over to enforce sharia law. I don’t know if they still hold it though.
