Your son reminds me of my little brother who is about 5 1/2 years younger than me. I was in high school and he would have been about 11:00 or 12 and I was trying to get my homework done at the kitchen table and he kept popping his head in and teasing me making me laugh but I really had to get my homework done. I should have just played with him instead of doing my damn homework. It was one of the few times he actually wanted to spend time with me, but now he's zoned out and not even there just like my mom. I think my mom and my brother never felt heard so they just disappeared and now they just stay on the surface and gaslight people, etcetera.
