Eckley Pier to Port Costa | Hiking

Another beautiful spring day in April 2023, went for a short hike in Crockett, CA.
Started off at the Eckley Pier parking lot, took the Bull Valley Trail back up to the entrance, which is the Bull Valley Staging Area. This is the same way you take to get down to the pier.
From there, went East on the Carquinez Overlook Loop Trail, then made our way down to Prospect Ave which then leads into the small town of Port Costa.
Spent a few minutes enjoying the waterfront view then back up the trail the same way we came from. Instead of taking the Bull Valley Trail to form a big loop, we took the same scenic way back to the staging area, with only a shorter detour to form a smaller loop.
Back to the parking lot and went to check out the fishing pier before heading home. Overall easy hiking, only a few hundred feet in elevation gain, mostly at the beginning and down into the town.

Hi, I like your video, I live out of California now, but I grew up in the east Bay & used to ride my motorcycle through crocket & port costa, I didn't know about the hiking trail up on the ridge, nice! I'll have to explore that when I visit next time, it's a very beautiful area, thanks for your artist ability to make a nice short & sweet video, take care 🙂
