Thanks so much. Haven’t heard that before. Been told many times I remind people of Matthew Broderick🤷♂️. Have to check out the DJ. Thanks again for watching 👍
@@MDCHOMES , I would look at ikea countertops next time. For this project it would have run you 25% less than your discount countertops and looked significantly better. Something to keep in mind if you do IKEA again. Otherwise, keep up the great work and videos!
By far the best IKEA how to installation series I’ve seen. Gotta ask, why didn’t you attach the rear legs on the base cabinets? Unnecessary with the wall bracket?
All looks great. Could you please share your reasoning for laying the floor in the direction you did? We are contemplating a renovation of our own home and have thought about changing direction of the flooring with transitions so that they would always run down the longest dimension of a room or hallway.
Thanks. Yeah we laid in line with the longest dimension of the room. Always seems to make rooms feel larger to me. We too have changed direction before to keep that theme going in every room. Sometimes we use a transition piece and in some cases the flooring will allow you to run into one side perpendicularly.
🤔. I guess you are talking about the full sheets that you use on tall cabinets and just cutting them to fit base cabinets? Honestly never thought about it before but I do think that would be a sleek look. Might try that on the next one. Thanks for the tip 👍
I’ve made a blunder, have purchased all the ikea cabinets & doors etc ready for the install but have gone for 600mm depth countertops from a different supplier but i'm now told that apparently they wont fit right, what depth was your countertops 650mm ??
Looks fantastic! Where's the refrigerator? Best installation of Ikea kitchen in CZcams - Awesome! Be well.
Thanks so much. Refrigerator went to the right of stove. We didn’t include one with the home though. Thank you again for watching.
Well done! You look like john digweed! A famous DJ also kind, organized and intelligent like yourself

Nice!! Thanks for the reveal. Kitchen looks amazing!!
Thank you. And thanks so much for watching!
Nice.. was hoping to see how you align the kitchen cabinets doors properly..thx anyway, good job
Sorry bout that. Currently working on another ikea kitchen. Will try to include your suggestion in another video. Thanks.
@@MDCHOMES thank you, really appreciate 🙏
This looks really good! Great job!
Looks great! Super clean and modern!
Happy b'day Amanda
Looks great ! Please update when it sells. Lots of buyer appeal.
Looks awesome! 🤘🏼
Very nice.
Couldn't quite make out if you used a mason's mitre joint on your kitchen worktops.
No. The counter company we use only does a 45 miter on their laminate tops so that’s what we have here. Thanks so much for watching!
Great video! Surprised you didn’t go w ikea countertop and things like drawer and under cabinet lighting…
Thanks. This was a flip house so budget was the main factor with not including the lighting and using counters we get locally at a discount.

Lol. We’ve used ikea counters before. We love them.

Thanks so much. Yeah, exactly right. All the rear weight is being held by rail. Ikea doesn’t even recommend installing them.
Wow not a bad price at all! Looks amazing! Wait where’s the fridge?
Thank you! And thanks so much for watching.

Those lines where the countertop is joined is very obvious :| Good job overall
Hi Jason and Amanda, what is the name of that gray wall paint you guys used in the video? Looks great!
I believe it was called Carbon Grey by Behr. Not 100% though. Lol. Thanks for watching.
How come you didn't use end cover panels that dropped all the way down to the floor?

I don’t work in metric so I had to google conversion from inches. Lol. Yeah 600mm is going to be too shallow I’m afraid.
@@MDCHOMES Arghh! 🤦♂Hopefully the supplier will swap them out! Thanks Pal 👍
Hopefully. Good luck.
