    I started a Mobile Detailing business while in high school to make side money. Over time my passion grew, and so did my business skills. Today I own the largest detailing company in my town, all while taking college classes online. My thesis, simple businesses have the power to create life changing wealth, when done right. And I can prove it.

    I noticed on the first car, the Jeep, the doors and dash weren't really filthy, it will save you time and effort if you just spray your towel with APC and wipe them down. Sometimes I'll even go over again real quick with a dry towel or a towel that is barely damp with only water, especially if it's hot out so the product doesn't create unnecessary spots/staining.

      Every area is different. I would say my area is higher cost. I'm just outside of Austin,TX and we got a lot of people from LA moving here right now. I would encourage you to find what services in your area people need and figure out how to maximize profits in that niche! :)

      @@HudsonArcher_Details That makes sense. Metro Austin is probably among the top 10 most expensive areas in the US now, especially with all the wealthy professionals flocking in from other expensive cities.

    How long does it take you per vehicle on average? For me, I average about 6 hours per vehicle. But I don't see 3 cars fitting into my daily schedule at 6 hours per car.
    I would like to see your process of shampooing carpets and seats as well as your process for a full exterior wash, including tires/wheels.
    Recommendation: Get a gopro and a good tripod 😃

    • @HudsonArcher_Details
      @HudsonArcher_Details  Před rokem +4

      Thanks for the recommendation! I have a nice tripod but I will definitely pick up a tripod. I spend roughly 1 1/2 to 2 hrs on a basic in & out detail. If someone orders one of my luxury packages it takes longer. I earn roughly $100-$120 an hour based on my current packages and systems.
      In this business you have one of two options, get faster or charge more.

      @HudsonArcher_Details  Před rokem +3

      @@marOcean13 haha. that's because you are a detailer. We can't stand to see a car we worked on not be perfect. The reality of it is this though, if the customer is paying you $100 for a basic interior and exterior clean, you should not be performing any more than what they ordered. If they decided to order a $600 service, then they expect you to do more than a basic in and out.
      You have to learn the business as well as the trade. I'd suggest sitting down with a pen and paper and thoroughly creating your packages and pricing. Build a package for the average Joe that just wants a clean car. Build a package for the rich guy with a Benz that wants way more done. It's all about practice and learning the business. You got it
