  • About this video:
In this video, I provide information about the world braille day. Louis Braille was born on January 4, 1809 in the village of France. He lost his eyesight at a very young age in accident. He developed a system of writing and reading for blind people. This method is known as 'Braille'. At the age of 11, braille was inspired to revise Charles Barbier's "Night Writing" code in an effort to create an efficient written communication system for fellow visually impaired. He spent the better part of the next nine years and refined the system of dots developed. January 4 is celebrated as World Braille Day. For this, the resolution was passed by the United Nations General Assembly on 6 November 2018. The reason for celebrating Braille Day on 4 January is that this day is the birthday of Louis Braille, the inventor of Braille script. To provide awareness about importance of Braille as a means of communication in the full attainment of human rights for blind and blind people. Braille is a writing method. It was created for blind people. Braille is a tactile writing system. It is written on a special type of embossed paper. It was designed by the French blind teacher and inventor Louis Braille. This method has been named Braille script after them. The World Blind Union will join the rest of the world to celebrate 4 January 2021 as World Braille Day, because it was officially designated as a day by the United Nations General Assembly to raise awareness of the importance of Braille.
