About the host
-----------------------------
Meet our very own Midnight Quilter, designer Angela Walters - known for serious skills and quilter-ly quirks. Each week she brings you her new “quilt of the hour”, sharing the scoop on how she tackles perfectly-pieced points or fab free-motion.
I love this quilt. I can remember watching your show on the computer on Friday nights years ago.
Today 3 girls came to my free sewing studio to make the zippered pouch. Lots of giggles and squeals of delight as they sewed their first zipper. They loved them. Next Saturday they are making a matching quilted tote bag. Thank you for the fun project and lots of laughs.
Hey Angela I really miss your quilting tutorials.
I love to quilt but have not in quite a few years, and after watching you I dug out my sewing machine and dusted it off and started quilting again....so thank you for that, my days now don't seem so long any more, time just flies by....and I just found out I am going to be a grandma again....so happy days...
What a bonnie quilt that you have made flower, so pretty in the beautiful rainbow ebbing and flowing like water or lava with the hot . colours. Thank you Crafty hugs, Norah, Central Scotland
100% of your blocks are ON POINT! Mind blowing 🤯
I really love your feathers. I am not able to do it properly but I will practice some more. I've sewed for less than a year now and so the learning curve is still very steep
Angela, you've changed the quilting scene forever with your approach... You make quilting so much less stressful and inject a ton of youth and humor, which was SO NEEDED!!! Congrats on the two year anniversary, and my everlasting gratitude for you just being you!
I just wanted to say thank you for giving me the confidence to start quilting last year. Watching the midnight quilt show really helped me get started and you’ve taught me so much and inspire me!
Happy 2 years!!!! 🎉🥳🎊
"You're so pretty!" This is what my son tells me. So yes, I smiled a lot while watching this video. May even try to make this quilt!
The last two years have been amazing but I am especially thankful for a stand alone CZcams video that you did where you talked about what you thought was important when it came to quilting. You shared a story about how your grandpa loved to collect men's ties with the intention of making them into a quilt and as he was about to die you made the quilt and laid it over him. I was incredibly moved and it gave a richer meaning to the phrase "a finished quilt is better then a perfect quilt".
Since then you have continued to make approachable and exciting. You have a fan for life and I look forward to when comes next.
When in doubt, always go with a light grey thread color. Works with everything
Chandra Cox I like to use yellow on a lot of my quilts too
Light grey and yellow! Always works!
Angela I’d love love love love you to let the beautiful feathers quilt be up for grabs!! If I won it I’d treasure it forever 😍❤️💕
Aha! So that's how you do the "tube" thing. I've heard of it, but seeing it finally brings it all together! Awesome! I'm definitely going to try this.
Stop it with all these adorable projects! I haven't even gotten to modern technology and now I'm in love with the rainbow bargello.
What an awesome quilt!! I am mesmerized be each and every one of your videos, Angela, as you are a master at quilting. You even make piecing seem like child's work! We all know it's not. Thank you for your humor and great smile. I am a "self taught", sometimes quilter, wishing I could be a fraction of the quilter you are. Thank you!
Love this quilt. I’ve never been a fan of Bargello, but your last two bargello quilts have changed my mind. Thanks! And you’re a hoot to watch.
When you said that you were going to do this quilt in a feather motif, I just couldn't imagine it on a rainbow bargello. Afterward, you showed how the feathers followed and flowed in the colored sections and it was STUNNING!!!! Beautifully done once again, Angela!
I LOVE this quilt, so bright and cheery, and you can never go wrong with feathers!
Gonna make my first Bargello
I was a little skeptical about the bargello, but - oh, my goodness!! It turned out beautifully. I LOVE the feathers!
I have watched every episode at least twice. I love your show.
Happy 2 years of the midnight quilt show, and thank you for being, just so great! Xxx
Wow! Two years of awesomeness!! I loved the cathedral window pillow. That one is second on my list of To Do. I love Bargello by the way. Once I discovered the tube method I knew I could make anything!
Love your videos. Love the bargello. Uses up my stash, prints and solids and the Oh Where did that come from. I'm a renegade! I don't line up the seams, I move the strips in HALF steps. No matching. My first ever quilt? Feathered star. Do what you love. And the Feather quilting you did made me cry. So beautiful. Thanks so much
Happy anniversary Angela!! Thanks so much for two amazing years of inspiration and laughs! You’re the best! Love and hugs! 🥂❤️❤️🍾
Gorgeous bargello pattern. I love the rainbow idea. For some reason I thought bargello quilts were complicated to put together. This was amazingly simple I think I might give it a go. Beautiful quilting as usual, feathers were definitely the right choice and a great idea for the centre
Happy Anniversary of 2 years. Been there with you most of that time and enjoyed every minute and every quilt. Might I say, I've come along way baby! Yes me, you were already there. You inspired me to start FMQ even though I didn't know what I was doing. Every one that sees my first quilt wants to take it home with them or be left in my will. All because of you and your tutorials. I love the colors of this bargello. It's beautiful. The quilting is the magic. It makes it perfect. Keep up the wonderful work.
I always love your very quilty shirts Angela... I think I need one that says "Angela Walters is my spirit animal!"
Oh my gosh Angela this is the most strikingly gorgeous quilts you’ve ever done! You are amazing!
Not even two minutes into this and I'm clicking LIKE! Truly you are a joy to learn from.
love it i cant believe it been 2 yrs already time flys when your having fun quilting
Angela you’re the best. I LOVED the gift series and the zippered bags are a current obsession. I cannot say how many I’ve made but I’d say at least two dozen. I cannot believe how great they turn out and I am a total beginner. Can’t wait to see what you have planned for this year!
I can't believe it's been 2 years already! Congrats on your midnight quiltshowaversary!
Wow, 2 yrs! I have enjoyed watching all the fabulous quilts and all the tips too. I look forward to stop in the shop when very we can get to KC!
I’m new to quilting and to be honest only started after stumbling on your show. Love it so much and can’t wait every morning to start sewing. Enjoy every episode!
Also check out Missouri Star Quilt Company and Crafty Gemini
Oh Angela you make it look so easy. Happy anniversary and here’s to many more 🍷 episodes.
Congratulations on 2 years. I love your show.
Loved your comment about about doing the feather petals in pairs of two! I love feathers, but lose my place in the backtracking at the outer curve. Seems so silly, but your comment clicked and I think I can now maintain the rhythm 🥰🥰🥰
Wow, Angela, that quilt turned out gorgeous! Love the feathers. I think your quilting gloves are funny. I cut off the thumb and index fingers of mine (like Christina Cameli) so I can more easily bury threads and thread needles, but yours are the opposite. :)
Love the quiltting design of them feathers
I love Bargello quilts. The feathers are beautiful. Thank you for inspiring me to keep trying.
Dear Angela, This is a beautiful quilt! I just find the combination of the geometric pattern with the floral quilt pattern fantastic! I'll probably just sew it up as well. Many thanks for your great videos and congratulations to the anniversary. I look forward to many more years with you.
Hi Angela love this quilt and the beautiful rainbow colours definitely one I'll try in 2019.
I ordered the rainbow bargello quilt from blueprintand I remember you saying that blueprint takes the guesswork out of picking out the thread because it comes in the kitmine did not come with red and I ordered it about a week ago and then a day or two later after I received my package got a letter from them stating that they were no longer going to to be in business luckily I did order add bread to go with my quilt but yeah but no fault of yours and I absolutely love doing the quilt it is so much fun I'm still in the process of doing it I am getting brave enough tonight to cut the stripes
Happy anniversary and I hope you have many more.
I’m a big fan of threads in the gray family.
Im about to quilt my first tree skirt and its a inspired by the bargello and is a spiral of red, green and gold... I'm quilting it in the ditch... Since im still new to quilting
Happy anniversary
Welp, this one is a big ol' "nope" for me, but it was really interesting to see how it goes together. One request for next year: machine applique and/or fusible applique and how you'd quilt around it. Maybe that was two requests. :) Thanks for all your hard work, Angela!
I love the colors in this version of a bargello quilt. Just beautiful!👍🍷
Your gift ideas were great. Please share more! Valentines day ideas would be sweet ?
Those feathers are amazing. Brilliant choice.
This quilt is gorgeous and as always, watching your show always inspires me to try something new and stay in a creative groove. Thanks for all the helpful information, fun and for helping me not take myself and what I'm doing so seriously!
Thank you for introducing me to this eye-catching method!
Happy quilting day!
Wishing You a Happy 2 Years! Wishing You many more happy years to come!
I made my first ever quilting block today! 😬😬 getting started 😬
Thankyou soo much just got a rainbow strip set last week was looking for a bargello, perfect ty.
Gorgeous quilt and a really beautiful feather plan! Thank you for tackling a bargello and demonstrating the tube method. Love to you and yours this Christmastime!
А какой ширины резать полоски?Почему нет перевода?Хочется послушать эту девочку.
Those gloves! Tell me about them! Happy Anniversary on your show! I always look forward to it. Merry Christmas!
I am so glad this show exists! It brings joy to my life!
Simply gorgeous Angela! I would have done either a lavender or a creamy yellow thread for that quilt. For my current quilt I am quilting, I am using a beige thread, because there is a lot of color variation in the quilt, but there is beige in almost every piece. The quilt backing has a beige base to it as well, so it helps hide my imperfections while quilting with my domestic sewing machine. I am not so sure I should have tackled a queen-sized quilt with a 5.5" throat space.
Keep going, you are going to feel so proud of it when you are done. It is worth the effort!!!
Angela ALL your shows are great! This is beautiful, now if I could quilt feathers like you I would be on my way!😎
Now you HAVE to tell us where to find those cool gloves! Even if we have a longarm and don't quilt on our regular machine. LOL! Another fun, fabulous quilt, Angela. Love all your videos!
Happy 2 Years!!!
Midnight quilt show 2nd year
And I have never quilted any before
I just love watching those beautiful quilts 😍😍
Hola,Muy bonito, gracias por compartir tus conocimientos, saludos desde Mazatlan Sinaloa, Mesxico..
Happy Birthday, Anniversary and Quilting. You are such an inspiration, funny, great quilter, and close enough is good enough piecer, as you say. Love your videos, watch them over and over. Have all your books and you inspire me to continue to try my free motion quilting. May we all enjoy your humorous approach to your videos and the beautiful quilts you share. May you and your family have a wonderful holiday season.
Beautiful thanks
Happy second anniversary to the midnight quilt show. I have loved each episode as I watched and watched and again re-watched each over the last 2 years😊 My new year resolution for 2019 now would be to try them. Gift series before year end and rest, after. Aha! That looks like a plan 😊
You’re amazingly talented!! I have interest in quilting because of your videos. To be honest, I never thought much of quilting until I came across your videos. Thanks for sharing your skills. Here’s to many many more years of the midnight quilt show!!🍾🥂
happy 2nd Anniversary MQS!!
My first Bargello turned out so beautiful!! Thanks Angela, you've made this so easy!
Happy Anniversary MQS! I love this quilt! So very happy!!
Happy Anniversary Angela! Thank you for sharing this cool quilt with us and all the quilts that you have done. I look forward to future quts that you will be doing! Love them all❤️
Love the new gloves! I really also love the gift videos. Making the bag for my best friend for Christmas. Thanks so much for for sharing your talents. Cheers for your anniversary! 🍷🍷
Happy Anniversary, wow 2 years already congratulations. I got back into quilting after watching you on The Midnight Quilt Show....Thank You. Always look forward to see what is next...
I like the idea of the gloves, but the wrong fingers are bare. I cut my thumb and pointer fingers off my gloves. Got the idea after watching Christina Camali on Bluprint. With those fingers cut off you can do everything without taking off your gloves.
Congratulations on being 2.
Oh Angela you make it look so easy. Happy anniversary and thanks for the quilting candy.
You’re gift projects were wonderful
Just Wow
Sadly the Website with the pattern is no longer available :(
This quilt is a Beauty
another awesome quilt, thanks Angela
Gotta love ya Angela. You make it all look so easy. Awesome. Well I am off to order my kit. Congrats on two years.

I made the bag from your gift giving series and now I am finishing up a second one. I love the size
Love your show! I started quilting 2 years ago and you were my main inspiration! Love this quilt, I would have chosen light orange or yellow thread. Thank you, hope to see you in this form for many years to come. Lots of love from Australia
Love the quilting you chose. It totally makes the quilt spectacular.
Happy Midnight Quiltaversary, Angela! You've made us a very happy fmq bunch!❤
I love those gloves!!!
I love the gift along. A friend of mine is going to monogram a couple of the zipper pouches for me.
Love the colors and the feathers!!! I would have used a bright variegated thread.
Might have to give this one a try. Also, enjoyed your gift along series on blueprint. Printed off the patterns and hope to get to at least one before the holidays.Who says they have to be Christmas gifts? 😉
I enjoy watching Angela make these awesome quilts!! Wish I was that good at it though 😊
Great gloves!
Yea to Missourians. St Peters MO here!!!
that is so gorgeous. I will have to practice a lot before I can make something like this. Still struggeling with the starting and stopping in quilting.
Happy 2 year anniversary! Love the colors and, of course, the quilting. I think I would have used a light tan thread (just off white type tan) or maybe a light yellow. Thanks for Sharing!
