the old chess: alway capture the mid square( e4,d4,e5,d5),try to hunt enemy king easy out play the newbie( like kasparov, lasker) but very hard to the same opponents ( kasparov- karpov is the longest game and at that time- they are same) modern chess now play in the side (a3,b3,c3,h3,Nc3..) control the 2 side and attack enenymy by blockage( like stalingrad, the blockage in iran,...) ,so you attack on a-b-c column, try to blockage and wait for opponent mistake we will wait for next stratgy of chess
