    FYI to everyone: there's two additional screws to remove the heatsink from the back. You can see them in the two small openings from the top.

    Hello sir , the sound on my Rns 510 just stopped , the speakers are fine , it used to make a sound whenever i open the car , then it stopped all of the sudden !! Is it a firmware problem or a hardware ? thank you

    Is the firmware stored on the radioboard and do you need to update after the replacement?

      No I didn't need to update it was just plug and play

    What was wrong with the radio? I believe I have the same radio in my 2014 VW and the screen just flickers. Would rather repair it if I can instead of buying something else
