How can you afford so many racesuits!! I have 1 and it’s really quite cheap :/ the arena powerskin ST. My dream racesuit is the arena carbon core FX with an open back ! I am currently saving up but I wondered if you have any tips?!
The racing suits are no substitute for effective training, but they do have a marginal effect at the top level which can be the difference between qualifying for major competitions.
He started out with the basic Speedo Endurance, then the Arena Powerskin ST, then the Arena R Evo One (sadly discontinued). Boys sizes stop at 28 so he now has to move into Men’s sizes which cost more. I know it’s a lot more difficult for female swimmers as they grow and require a lot more training & racing suits. Boys can generally wear the same waist size for a longer period of time. Good luck with your choices.
Thank you for the explanation:) I started racing in a training suit then moved onto a cheap knee length Speedo suit and then the arena powerskin ST. I am at regional final level and lots of my competitors have more pricey racesuits. I have allways been told if you deserve to win that race , you will win it - no matter what racesuit you have. This starts to stop becoming the case at around national level- wich I hope to be competing at next season. Speedo suits seem to be cheaper but have not seemed to fit my waits and hips as they are relatively small- the arena suits seem to fit my body shape better but are more expensive. I am really looking forward to when I have managed to save up :) I am at an awkward stage where I am at the top of the girls and verry bottom of the female section- sizes like this are hard to find.thank you again for your explanation
