I love both. I like a lot Eucerin Oil Control and La Roche Posay UVMune Fluid, same as Garnier Super UV Fluid. In summer I almost only use European sunscreens, in winter I like K-Beauty ones, like Isntree, Beauty of Joseon, Skin1004 and Purito.
I live in greece so korean sunscreens is joke to me really its good only for winter. In summer we need higher uv with water resistance.
I agree, I prefer them for winter also. Or even better, as the first layer and then European sunscreen as the second. :)
water resistance go for Japanese brand anessa sunscreen . It’s the best sunscreen in japan
I agree i live in Izmir and Had a Hardcore sunburn korean sunscreens Work maybe for north Europe Summer.
For outdoors, I don't entirely rely on sunscreens. I wear UV protective clothing, hats, Visor and gloves.
European sunscreens are better. Asian sunscreens are meant to be used as a daily sunscreen since, generally japanese korean culture dont stay out in the sun compared to people living in europe and australia. Hence, why korean sunscreens are lighter. They are not sunscreens to be worn on a beach rather stepping in and out of car during errands.
Team European! Higher UVA protection, and more water resistant sunscreens to choose from.
Korean for indoor and winter office days for me. Also for reapplying because they are lighter.
Couldn't agree more! 😃🙌🏻
Most of my ethnically British friends(meaning that they have pale to very pale skin) really go around with ‘naked’ skin in the summer, wherever they go *gasp. The reason being they can’t tolerate the texture of most suncreams available in the UK and Europe. I also dislike the texture, but I put on a lot of oil-absorbing powder to help make it as matte as possible (I have normal skin but I sweat a lot in the summer), because I don’t want to speed age. I think Asian suncreams are an excellent option for those who really hate the stickiness of suncreams in generally. Better to wear those than nothing at all.
That intro camera uv device is sooooooo cool
I 100% prefer Korean sunscreens because none of the UV protection in the world matters if I can't tolerate the product on my oily skin - and yes, even the "lightweight" EU sunscreens feel heavy and suffocating. The Nivea UV Face Shine Control is literally the only exception that I've been able to find so far over here. Unfortunately, Korean stuff is very expensive so I'm pretty much out of options.
Super useful!!!
If I know I am going to be indoors all day, i would do Korean/Asian sunscreens.
I choose LRP coz of high PPD compare to K-sunscreen. For asian sunscreen, I use Japanese made, Skin Aqua Moisture Milk and Canmake (01) Clear. Skin aqua is water resistant and dries down somewhat matte.
Thanks for sharing. 😊🙌🏻
I prefer korean sunscreens, missha is my fave - has some tiny glitter in it so my dry skin looks healthy :) But I would love to try lrp.
Haven't tried Missha, but I have to try it now! 😃🙌🏻 LRP is the OG for summer. 😎
Hello thank you for this video and informations please make us a video about blue light and vichy uv age daily sunscreens
Hi, i noticed alot of sunscreens peel, mostly on the neck or side of the face, any ideas on that? I dont know how to use vit C before the spf due to peeling...
Maybe someone would know?
Does homosalate, Octycrylene and octisalate go together with Uvinal A and Tinosorb M? I ask because I put a tinted spf over a Korean PA+++ and I don’t want to affect the effectiveness.
I ask because I use the Korean sunscreen Beauty of Joseon and then I put IT cosmetics cc cream, SPF 40 over the top.
korean sunscreens work so much better with the humidity here in asia. tried using european sunscreens and they're too greasy for me (i have normal to dry skin). what more for oily skin. so i only use eu sunscreens when indoors where i don't sweat much or the beach because they're water resistant.
I got Vichy as you suggested and it's horrible. It peels off so easily and the white cast is just terrible. Worse than any other sunscreen.
I'm confused. Korean sunscreens work with PA+ levels. I always thought PA++++ was the highest UVA protection available and reaching up to nm400? But you say only EU reaches into the 400's? I need to do more research, or am I misunderstanding something?
Mexoryl 400 is the only filter that protects in the 380 to 400nm gap in UVA range. You can watch my video on La Roche Posay Uvmune400 Fluid sunscreen, I explained it better there. :)
I apply Korean sunscreen as the first layer to get the most benefits from the actives, once its dried down then I apply the second layer with tinted European sunscreen to ensure no missed spots and get the maximum UVA protection. Does that sound reasonable?
That's smart! I often do the same, but instead of tinted I use regular European sunscreen. 😃🙌🏻
Does UVA radiation has constant strength throughout the year or is stronger in the summer? Meaning should i use european sunscreen all year or can be properly protected by using them in the summer and korean in the winter? 🤔
Constant
European sunscreens are better for me people keep saying how hydrating Korean sunscreens are but I’ve tried a ton and they just dry my skin out I’m not wasting my money anymore.
what's ur opinion on Eucerin suncream ?
Haven't tried it yet, but it's definitely on the list for this year.
