I love these pages!! And the first page is definitely “worthy” of its position. The lace really made that focal point pop. 😍😘
Thanks sweetie! ❤️
This series showed up in my feed. I haven't seen anyone do a book like this before. Im enjoying watching these older videos. New subscriber.
The pages are beautiful. I love the soft vintage colors. Congrats to the winner of the tags!
We have a lovely shop here in town called Tattered Treasures. They go to estate sales and bring amazing finds back. We found music pages from the 20's and 40's, letters from the 50's, vintage magazines, old hankies and even piano rolls!!!!
Sounds awesome! 😃👍🏻
Thanks so much Barbara! I’ve been looking forward to this video all week to get started decorating our pages. Your thought process is very helpful and your pages thus far are gorgeous. You’re a great teacher! Enjoy your week....big one for us here in the U.S.!!!!
Thank you Victoria and good luck for the elections! Actually they impact the whole world, so fingers crossed!!!! 😬

I love how this is starting...I see what you mean how skipping around helps in varying the design...I’m liking how the variation in colors happened! Thanks for your great videos!
Thank you Carol! I’m happy you got what I was trying to say! 😂

Great idea about the tea bag tags. I live in the USA but am definitely more of a tea girl so I am going to start collecting them. Love this project Barbara. It is going to be great💝💝💝

So awesome that you used a hotel ad from Detroit, Michigan. I grew up not too far from Detroit!!
I've only made one junk journal so far but I was never in a hurry to "finish" it, and actually there are places to add more. I jumped around on it; adding to a page whenever I'd see something that fit a page. Thank you for the altered book pockets tutorial which I think I'll do next.
Very nice job Barb ......you gave me so much inspiration to continue with mine I was just waiting for this video to start thank you 😊 see you on your part 4 this will give me time to finish mine 🤗 🤗
Thanks! I have a few more episodes decorating pages so no rush! 😃
😍😍 I love what you did! It’s gorgeous and very vintage style altered book. Thanks for sharing...and congratulations to luvrayn66,! Lucky you!!! Enjoy your goodies from her. 👌👌
Thanks Sonya! ❤️
I’ve been wanting to do an altered book journal for my precious daughter forever it seems! Thank you for explaining the steps slowly and precisely. 🥰🥰🥰
Thanks! Enjoy making your altered book! ❤️
This is the best altered book tutorial I've seen! Thank you for making look so easy!!
Aaaaw thank you so much! ❤️☺️
Me personally I wouldn't of used 3 stamps , I would have found other ephemera or used inked stamps behind the boot. We all do things differently that is why I always like watching other people. Beautiful work thanks for sharing
Bonjour 😊
Je suis vraiment très contente d'être tombé par hasard sur votre chaîne CZcams car c'est exactement ce que je cherchais 😊.
Milles merci 😁😁😁.
Continuez comme ça 😊.
Scrape bisous 😘😘😘
I am going to start making these altered books. I super appreciate the other links you put. I have an idea to use it as support journals! This is just great:)
One of the many things I enjoy about your videos, and something that fairly few people do, is that you explain your choices in terms of color, texture, or why you do or do not use distress ink for different purposes. It's very useful to hear how something else thinks about that. Thanks for your lovely videos!
Thanks so much Theresa! I’m happy it’s helpful! ❤️
I am throughly enjoying this series. You make everything fun. Your creativity is endless! Thank you so much.
Oh wow, thanks so mich for your kind words, Joy! 🥰
Congratulations to the winner! Another great video, Barbara! I really appreciate it when you explain why you do things--like when to ink and how to put together the elements of a collage. I'm learning so much. Now I'll watch it again and decorate my pages!
Thanks so much Amy! I’m so happy my explanations make sense! 😃❤️
Wow, coming right along. I have started my first altered book so it was great to get some reassurance from watching you. 👍🥰❤️
I’m definitely going to do this. Can’t wait to see the process🎉😊❤Juju
These pages are absolutely beautiful! 🥰💕 I love watching and listening as you work! And congrats to the winner! 🎉
They way you describe your thought process is so helpful! It made me realize (alas, half way through) that I wanted this journal to go in a Victorian Children’s direction since a lot of the images you suggested to download lend themselves well to that but especially because I was altering a book from my childhood- a Nancy Drew Mystery (is that just a mid-century American thing?) Fortunately, I have several more volumes in the series that I am going to alter and decorate accordingly. Best of all, you gave me the courage to utilize a piece of lace on the frontpiece pocket that I have had for over 25 years and just happened to be a sepia tone of brown that coordinated spectacularly!
Thank you so your kind feedback! I’m so happy hearing my thought process is helpful. Sounds like you are having a blast with your books, which makes me so happy! ☺️
What a joy to watch, learn and do. Thank you so much for being an authentic teacher.
Thanks so much! ❤️
You are an awesome teacher. Thanks so much for sharing your videos. I’m enjoying doing my pages along with you.
Thank you so very much for this series. It is exactly what I have been searching for in starting my journal, made from an altered book. I love your videos and watch them daily.
Thanks so much and have fun with your journal! ❤️😊
I love the way you pair the colors on your pages. So pleasing to the eye! Keep up the good work. Hugs from Texas.
I love that you have gone back to ‘it’s Barbara from Vienna, Austria. X
☺️❤️
I love seeing your work come together, it’s very inspiring
Your directions are so easy to follow. I have always thought you need to consider pretty much every page a 2-page spread. By that I mean there needs to be some sort of relationship between them in either color or theme. With your sense of design, I am sure when you get to the opposite pages of those you have already decorated, you will do exactly that.
What beautiful pages!! Thank you for sharing all your tips! They are very useful💖
Congrats to the winner!
Ooh you don’t have to be nervous because you always instinctly seem to know what you have to do to make a project awesome🥰😍🥰😍🥰😍
I loved to watch you do this 8 pages.
Stay safe and have good start in the new week.
Greetings Maia
Aaaw, thank you Maia! I hope you are following along with your own book! ❤️
Very inspiring video! I enjoy watching you go through your choices, it's interesting and takes me along on the journey. Amazing how it goes from nothing to something gorgeous!
8yr old granddaughter and i did part one together, found our books, then did part 2 together…and now beginning part 3 together! Excited to see how this goes
So fun! 😃❤️

It is so soothing to watch your videos. I love learning from you.
Aw, thanks so much! ❤️
It looks amazing❤️. You make collage look so easy. Congrats to the winner🎉
Thank you for all the great tips. Love watching your videos so full of inspiration. Watching this series I just had to grab an old book and start tearing out pages!!!!!!!! Very theraputic!!
Thanks! Have fun with your book! ❤️
I loved your explanation as to why you chose the green stamps vs red and why you ink somethings and not others. I think that’s helpful for people to make decisions on what and how to add pieces to projects and collages.
Thanks Amy! I hope it’s helpful! ☺️
I'm loving how this is looking so far! Well done!!!
Beautiful!!!!!!!
You are a very good teacher~you don’t rush~you talk your selection of what you’re going to do. I’m going to go through the co,plate series with you. BEAUTIFUL. You make it look so easy. 😍
Love it so much....I have picked my book and will get started folding pages 👍🏻 Congrats to the winner
Thanks Kristina! Have fun with this! ❤️
Very teachable video, I am so geared to do my own, you have an eye for color and how your video is not wasted on repetitive gluing.
The pages where the postcard has the "my lady's glove" I appreciated the explanation on how one picks out the color and combining it with the entire page. Attractive good first with the scary first page, the lace did the number. Thanks for reminding not to overthink and get started. Thank you for doing another very teachable tutorial
I like how you glued the spine between pocket pages. Also that you had no idea where you were going to begin with, but still added collage to your pages to begin. It gives us hope when looking at blank pages.
Thank you Amy! I hope you are joining me for this project! ❤️
Love the first page. Love all your pages!
Thanks so much Dianne! ❤️
