    Nice reaction. To answer some of your questions;
    1. The arena can take up to 55k people if adjusted for concerts or other purposes like prayer meetings converting portions of the center stage with seats.
    2. This arena was designed for the INC's religious worship congregation when they have massive gatherings, but its use is multi purpose for other events like sports, cultural or concerts.
    3. The arena can only have medium sized sport events such as basketball or the like but cannot hold, for example, association football field sport matches. There is another stadium for that purpose beside it but in an open air configuration.
    4. This is considered the biggest "closed roof" indoor arena in contrast with "stadiums" which are bigger in area and some of them also have domed roof covers that can retract and so they are not categorized as the same thing for stadiums can hold bigger sized outdoor field sports like football, rugby, baseball or the like.
    5. Correct observation that only one side of the oval arena have seats and the other side is for the stage and the wide screens so its not circular in seating. I think it was patterned after the Greek/Roman agora theater.
    6. Earthquakes in the Philippines are measured using the Richter (riktər) scale.
    7. The Philippine arena will not stop development expansion and will in fact grow by improving its surroundings by adding malls, hospitals and even educational and residential infrastructures. It also boasts of a botanical garden of various plants and flowers designed like a "theme park."

INC built this as one of the highlights when they celebrated their Centennial Year. There are lots of concerts happened to this Arena namely few of it: Taylor Swift concert, The Prism Concert of Katy Perry and KPOP concerts.
Also, the biggest baptismal recognized by Guiness happened in that Arena. Its not a government project by the way but a religious group. Iglesia ni Cristo held this project not for our church gathering but also to cater all the big gatherings that will happen in the future.

    FUN FACT
The Arena, despite being named "Philippine Arena" also known as the biggest indoor arena in the world, was not actually commisioned by the Philippine Government but by a Religion in the country. The CHURCH OF CHRIST or more commonly known as Iglesia Ni Cristo. Ninoy Aquino, the previous president actually proposed for it to be named after his family (the Aquinos ergo his parents in particular) which just baffled us mostly 🙄🙄 It was also finished in record time by the workers in order to meet the deadline for the Church's Centennial Anniversary celebration. They constructed it by starting from the top which I believe is not mostly done during construction? How would I know it's probably in the video 🤣

The Philippine arena primarily built for the convenience of the Church of Christ or Iglesia Ni Cristo members that's why it's like a theater type that only focus on one spot ,not just like the other arenas .. it's primarily use for INC members gatherings which is most of it is a Worship Service or an Evangelical Mission or Bible Exposition.. Andlast July 27, 2014 we celebrated there our Centennial Anniversary .

The Philippine Arena is for indoor sports and cultural events. There is another football stadium constructed outside and beside the Philippine Arena that was constructed at the same time as the Arena. The venue was constructed for the grand anniversary and assembly of the Iglesia ni Kristo (Church of Christ) Christian sect over two years ago.

PWP Landscape Architecture, the firm who landscaped the National September 11 Memorial & Museum, designed the landscape for the arena and the whole complex of Ciudad de Victoria. For the arena, a series of outdoor plazas, gardens and performance venues form the setting for the development including: The North and South Arrival Plazas, The Promontory Plaza, The Great Stairs, and Ciudad de Victoria Plaza that are all related to each other with two cross axes (N-S and E-W) that intersect at the Promontory Plaza. Two fountains that can shoot waters up to 15 meters (49 ft) are also installed in front of the arena.

You asked about soccer, yes, it has stadium beside of Arena, also a Sport Complex. So soccer will be on stadium and other sports events will be on Sport Complex. You see that the other part of arena is look like no chair but it has automatic retractable sets. It looks like wall but when needed it is chairs... I hope I helped you some of your question

Populous, a global mega-architecture firm, designed the arena through their office in Brisbane, Australia. The official website of the sports facility describe's the structure's architectural style as Modernist. The arena has been master planned to enable at least 50,000 people to gather inside the building and a further 50,000 to gather at a ‘live site’ or plaza outside to share in major events. The seating bowl of the arena is a one-sided bowl and is partitioned into two parts, the upper and the lower bowl each with approximately 25,000 seating capacity. The lower bowl is the most used part of the building and the architectural design allows for easy separation of the lower bowl from the upper tier, by curtaining with acoustic and thermal properties. A retractable seating of 2,000 people capacity is also installed behind the stage which is used by the choir of the Iglesia ni Cristo for events of the church.
The seating layout of the arena is different from that of a standard arena where the stage is at the middle and is surrounded by seats. The seating of the arena closely resembles that of a Greek amphitheater, built in a semi-circle with the seats at the sides and front of the arena stage. The seatings are divided into three sections. Each of the sections are colored green, white and red: the colors of the Iglesia Ni Cristo flag.
The arena has 4 floors or levels. Level 1 is the stage level, Level 2 is the main access level open to the general viewing public, Level 3 is the VIP area which also houses conference rooms with views facing the main plaza outside the indoor arena building and Level 4 is the upper concourse.
Furthermore, contractor Hanwha hired their own architecture firm, Haeanh Architects for the project.

The Philippine Arena is owned by a Religious Organization which is the Iglesia ni Cristo. It has a seating capacity of 55,000. Yet its record for being the largest arena has been broken this year (2022). The KingDome in Davao City is set to open this 2022 and it has a seating capacity of 75,000. It is also owned by another Religious Organization by Apollo Quiboloy.

It is however open for concerts, sports etc as long as the activities to be performed are not against or does not violate the religious doctrines of the church.the stadium that you saw beside the arena is the philippine sports complex, could be used for track and field events.
