Mike Shinoda was my hero at age 13 when I bought Hybrid Theory, now at 29 (yeah I know getting old) I can say he is even more of a hero. Now as a professional musician that plays classical violin now I have to say he is a huge part of why I'm a musician.
It makes me so happy seeing him have fun with the crowd towards the ending of Running From My Shadow 😊💕

I’m really glad I got to be here for this. Seeing Mike perform again since Identity Fest was amazing and I felt that entire performance. Thank you again Mike for everything you’ve done and continue to do for all of us
Great set Mike! It must be very hard to get up there and perform the old songs as well as the new stuff not only given the circumstances, but also he’s basically a one man act up there. He looks like he’s getting more comfortable and having more fun though. The new album is straight 🔥
waiting for the end / where'd u go is so goooood. Sad that it reminds me so much of Chester's opening and also the start of waiting for the end mv when it was first got released in 2010. Also my friend who actually told me that LP got some new songs/mvs passed away last year. But this is so good, good show Mike! Thanks for the new music!!

Here's a thing, they want their own personal memory of them seeing an artist they like. You know, some of these people may have never got to see Linkin Park and now especially after Chester passing, this is the closest they can get, so they want to keep it.
But the point of a concert is to feel connected with the people there and most of all the artists, now they are more connected with their phones. I hate going to concerts and ending seeing it through a screen because an idiot has a phone right in front of my face. I'm merciless with those, they end up flying.
But are you going to consider what the person has on that phone? The memories? They want to share them from THEIR view, if you wanna feel connected, why cause conflict with those around you? And also you know the last thing people at the concerts on their phones are thinking, "Wow I feel so connected with my phone." Because they're just recording, they're not looking through their phone screen recording, they just press record and watch the show with their eyes. They just want to keep their own memory of it and not one of a youtube video. And that's also the point of a smartphone that can record, to record things you like and keep the memories.
