All of these artists have been such big inspirations to me in different ways and to get to bring our various mythological creatures to life together was a dream come true
I was terrified for a while there about getting my horns and ears done on time but they were so important to me to complete that they had to happen!

I like that this doesn't look as much like a deer like all the other "faun" makeup out there
this is still my absolute favorite tutorial for faun makeup because you got the nose illusion down and you didn't make it a fawn with the white dots but a FAUN... which is what I'm trying to find haha will definitely be using this look for RenFest here in the fall!!

+NsomniaksDream You think this style could be used with other colors? I have a Faun costume in the making... but its more a grayer color... imagine Birch tree bark and that's the general color pallet (or something like it)
Of course! Just substitute in some cooler gray tones where I have browns and gold and you would look awesome :D

Now that I think about it I could keep a few of those brown colors perhaps, since Birch trees do have brown hues under the white

It's really a beautiful make up tutorial. I just want to say that when I tried it myself, I didn't use black eyeliner, I used dark brown. Imo the black is a bit too harsh in this look. either use a dark brown or make the colours around the face darker and then use the black eyeliner
Ryutatsi hahahaha it's some who thinks they can give HER tips, the black adds kind of like a more feminine vibe
Makeup artists share tips all the time. Don't be an ass. It's simple artistry and color theory - more neutral and muted tones will make the look appear more natural and less sharp while the black and white is a stark contrast in the video. It's up to personal preference, ultimately, and what you're trying to achieve.
I think a dark brown liner would give a bit of a softer contrast, and would have it's own appeal. I would personally use black, that's mostly because I am fairly tan naturally, and a dark brown isn't enough contrast for a contrast whore like me ;)
That was exactly what I thought. I will use brown eyeliner for this look.
