For the thumbnail, it depends on the situation especially if you’re playing Destiny. Since the floor is not always as smooth as a normal game would be, with a bunch of rocks and realistic floors on top of the floaty physics, you’re bound to have some slight air-time even if you didn’t jump. And jumping while in that situation will instead activate your double jump rather than your normal one which can get you killed in most platforming puzzles because the game pranked you with just 1 jump rather than the 2 you calculated in your head. So unless you’re certain you’re not moving too much, it’s best to leave platform then jump. But in other smoother floors just do the normal double jump
