  • Discovered a Podcast Equipment from a Kickstarter campaign that looks promising but is this is good for podcasting? I test out this interesting tech on this episode of Tech Talk. #squarock #podcasting #justanaveragegirl

    Your review of squarock is the first that I've seen that is an actual review. Thank you

      Thank you! To me its still an interesting device I discovered on Kickstarter and wanted to also experience backing up a person's dream project for the first time. I still don't use half of the features that come with it. I'm an average streamer, so I haven't really put together a setup when I'm gaming. Someday, I 'll figure it out. lol Thank you for your thoughtful comment.

    Very well done. I'm assuming that this would also be useful for videos and not just for podcasts.

      Yes, I use it for my twitch and CZcams gaming channel. I just wish it was also a stream deck, then it would be perfect.

      @@Xp3erynce First off I love your user name, that is genius! To be honest I wish the buttons that were for sound would've been used like a stream deck instead cause it would be more useful cause I barely use the sound fx that came with it. I have an elgato stream deck and I've been meaning to get back into gaming and actually do some live streams on this channel. So I will test it out and see what happens. Thank you for the idea.

    Awesome video! I have a question hopefully you or someone else can help! I have the squarock commander m1 2 mic setup package I brought. I can hear phone calls via headphones connected to phone via aux/lightning jack or Bluetooth. I’m recording audio only podcast and can’t seem to figure out how to record a remote audio interview. I’m using a MacBook Pro, garage band, and m1 commander. Thanks for any help in advance!

      I can't say I've tried the option yet. I will try it out. When I play video games with others, I use discord for the other players. So maybe you may have to use programs like that. Should I figure it out, I will let you know.

      That's fine, like I said at 13:40, It's not bad as a starter, but if you know what you're doing and you're at a professional level, I wouldn't recommend it. I'm an amateur at best when it comes to stuff like this. There are plenty of devices out there that I'm sure are way more professional and give you what you need. Happy hunting my dear. 😊

    How do you edit your videos

    • @JustAnAverageGirl83
      @JustAnAverageGirl83  Před 9 měsíci +1

      I'll tell you now, I'm no professional, I'm good with video stuff not so much audio clearly lol. I use adobe Premiere and after effects for everything. I do want to convert to Da Vinci cause I heard a lot of good things about it.
      I do a lot of audio matching from the recording sources. I may be doing it wrong for all I know but I'm a if not broke why fix it person, unless there is a more efficient way to do I, then I'll research the hell out of it to learn. I hope this answers your question. lol

    I was told that you can only use the thing with those bundled mics. That seems just ridiculous!!!! Deal killer. You should be able to use your OWN mics! I don't need anymore mics.

      I don't know about that to be honest with you. According to the manual, you can use a dynamic and /or condenser mic. So mics like the Shure SM87 or Audio-Technica AT2020, there is switch on the back you can flip between dynamic or condenser and there's a button if your mic is a +48V. But in my opinion, I still wouldn't recommend this to professionals, its a nice starter but that's about it.
