Yep, Wendy's Superbar was amazing and weird. Not a place where I'd expect a buffet, but it worked. I loved their spaghetti.
There was a mcdonald's breakfast buffet in Laurel, Maryland back in 1996. I remember being 12 and getting tons of pancakes and bacon! It was soooo good! Also i remember buffet at KFC in Hanover, Pennsylvania in early 2000s!
The Pizza Hut buffet was great and we had one near our house.

My first job at 16 was Wendy’s & I started out working the Superbar. There was a lot of waste bc the produce was legit & had to be tossed. The rest was powdered & add water (beans, rice, cheese sauce, spaghetti sauces). The ranch dressing was the real deal: we made it on-site: mayo, buttermilk & the ranch seasoning. The pasta…it was frozen & we just sprayed it with really hot water. You don’t want to know how the chicken salad was made 🤢
I worked At Wendy’s too and had to stick up the salad bar also

@@NicholasMoreau It was made from the breaded chicken (not grilled chicken bc Wendy’s just came out with that) sandwiches that didn’t sell. They would submerge the old chicken in hot water & tear off the breading, chop it up, mix mayo & frozen onions & celery. It may not sound that bad but it grossed me out. It also didn’t get rotated/tossed & we’d just stir it when it started getting that discolored film on it

Great memories… I remember Wendy’s Superbar, KFC lunch buffet, Pizza Hut lunch buffet, I remember going to a Taco Bell lunch buffet in Aurora (east of Denver) and I also remembered Skippers had one day a week where they had all you can eat fish or chicken with fries and coleslaw plus hush puppies.
We have a KFC that still has a buffet in my hometown

My Dad would always get the Wendy's salad bar and I always asked him to make me nachos. Loved the memories ❤
I remember the Wendy’s buffet really well! My dad would take me there as a kid.
I remembered the Pizza Hut lunch buffet used to be almost everywhere. I’ve eaten there in a Cocoa Beach location before. Panama City used to have a Popeyes lunch buffet, but they got rid of it long before the pandemic.
I can attest to KFC, Pizza Hut and McDonalds buffets although our McDonalds only had the unlimited pancakes so after the hash browns and sausage and egg all you could get was pancakes.
I remember the McDonalds breakfast buffet in Virginia in the early 90's. It was only on weekends or holidays like the 4th of July, MLK Day, etc but it was the best.
We had the McDonald's Buffet in Fort Washington MD at Livingston Square . Don't forget Shakey's Pizza.
Dining in a pizza hut as a kid was the best. I wish they still had the buffet. I would go every week.
A Pizza Hut/KFC combo in Tazwell had a buffet but have not been in four years so not sure if it still exists
I remember Pizza Inn had a buffet in the late 70's.
also, my fellow co workers from Fred's Discount Store in Hattiesburg MS and I enjoyed the Pizza Hut lunch buffet in the late 70s and early 80s... had my first taste of shrimp pizza...loved it ...hard to find nowadays
I remember a Wendy's buffet in Limon, Colorado in the late 90's try early 2000's. I loved eating there when we were in town. I haven't been to a Pizza Hut in years. I stopped frequenting their buffet when I could get better pizza at Casey's

I worked at Wendy’s in the 90’s. Their Friday fish fry / taco salad bar was so delicious.
I'm from Dayton Ohio and I remember several Wendy's locations having the super bar back in the day. I also remember there was a couple of KFC locations in the Dayton area that had the buffet option.
There was a Little Ceasers buffet near my house as a kid. We used to sit there for like a hour playing Magic the Gathering and eating pizza.
I loved the Wendy’s Super Bar back in the late 1980s. Chocolate pudding and nacho sauce over rotini were my faves.
I remember going to a Pizza Hut buffet, in Lafayette, LA, back in 2007.

I remember when I was five years old my favorite taco bell buffet menu Was the taco pizza and the chulupa and my favorite Wendy's buffet had to be everything I wish my favorite discontinued meal of All twenty eight years of my life would come back please come back please
I remember a KFC/Pizza Hut that had an all you can eat Buffet. It was in Tazwell Virginia. Has been around four years since I have been so it probably no longer exists
prior to the addition of lanes on SR7 (US441) here in Hollywood FL a few years ago...we DID have a KFC location on the NE corner of SR7 and Hollywood Blvd and it DID have a daily all you can eat buffet in the evening hours... not sure if the Kissimmee location in FL still has it, but they also did have it.
KFC still has buffets in Kentucky. I went to one about an hour south of Louisville right off the interstate not long ago

I do remember the Wendy’s bar. I rarely remember anyone using it though. The Pizza Hut one was great. While in the Air Force in Missouri 92-93, we frequented it. BBQ chicken pizza was the best. They couldn’t keep up with the demand.

I stopped going to buffets a long time ago. Those things are just a breeding ground for bacteria under those hot holding heaters with no covers on the food.
I LOVED pizza hut buffet 😊. My coworkers and I will go there 2-3 times a month and pig out ❤.

In Tampa we had a kfc buffet in the 2010s… so good!
At the first franchise KFC on Nicolasville Rd in Lexington, KY they had a buffet in the 90's. They also still used the original KFC gravy! Far better than the new one.
There are still a few pizza hut buffets in ohio and Indiana, there is a KFC buffet in Auburn Indiana and a few other close towns around there
The KFC Buffet in PA. is located in Selinsgrove...I couldn't believe my eyes when I first saw it!!!👀👀

Superbar taco meat pan had these plastic thick spoons with rib bone endings so when you lifted the meat it fell out the sides..haha..you literally had to spoon 3 times to get the same meat as a regular big spoon in order to make people not get much meat..in the late 1980s/early 1990s buffets were in full swing..catfish,Mexican,pizza, cafeteria(Franke's was $4.50 all you can eat cafeteria buffet during the week 11am to 4pm with meats,veggies, salads, and desserts all on saucers that you put on your big tray which even then was a very low price for my favorite cafeteria style eating)..that's the one I really miss! Literally had cut from the slab roasted beef with or without gravy poured over AND Chicken Fried Steak or Chicken Fried Chicken with and without gravy as a few of the meat choices. Pie slices were awesome as well not to mention the many many side items of veggies to choose from..even then the same meal a night would have been itemized out to a $12 to $15 dinner($15 if they looked at my tray)
Buffet late people add what ever they wanted on their meal,everything can’t stay the same forever.

Our pizza hut here in the small town I live in I think still might do buffet style pizza hut I have always loved buffet style restaurants it's all u can eat until you get full. And our KFC here use to do a Sunday buffet but I don't know if they still do it. But they did take the wings off the menu.
It's been years but in Oklahoma we had KFC buffets everywhere....
Best ones were Quick and Tasty buffet, and Morrisons Cafe buffet.

There were sooo many more back in the late 70's and early 80''s (mostly Mom & Pops).
You had so many choices... Italian, Mexican, Oriental, even Steak/Salad/Desert buffets.
It was a great time with competition still alive, now _long_ destoyed via bribed politicians.
KFC had a buffet. I ate at one in Orlando and Fayetteville NC. I really liked it and wish it would return.
Mcdonald Buffet DID exist. Me and my family used to go every sunday before church. I also remembered they used to have biscuit and gravy as well.
Loved Wendys buffets. I know not fast food but who remembers Ponderosas breakfast buffet.
I'm relieved that theyre closed. They all sound like good AYCE, but then I remember the grogginess I feel from already eating much of it much of the time.

I remember in the mid 90s taking my 3 young kids to the dinner buffet at Wendy's.....very economical for a young family at the time.

don't remember the McDonalds, Taco Bell or KFC buffets, I do remember the Pizza Hut and Wendy's ones. Not that I'll ever eat at a KFC again, years ago chicken tenders there gave me the worst food poisoning I ever had

I do not miss the "buffets".....I miss.....the "warm, home-like" taste that you could only get from these "buffets", as well as the"taste" of those items.....my "favorite" "buffet" was the "SHONEY'S BRUNCH BUFFET", SERVED ONLY ON "WEEKENDS" AND SOME "HOLIDAYS", BEFORE SHONEY'S TOOK A "DIVE", BEFORE "ENDING" SERVICE.....THE BEST,...EVER,..."BACK THEN"!! IMO, ANTWAY....😁

the kfc near me closed the buffet when they remodeled everything. I think it was during the pandemic or a year or two before.

I actually liked Wendy's Superbar and was disappointed to see it go. I suspect most of these chains decided buffets weren't profitable enough, anymore.
I will open a new buffet place on the coast in biloxi gulfport mississippi if y'all promise to go once a week 15 bucks ayce 500 items yes it could be done and make a big profit if done right
I miss the Pizza Hut one the most. But what I really miss are the ethnic food buffets (Indian, Mexican, and Chinese) so you can sample a lot of little things.
Wendy's souper bar was great but waffle house had a ayce in the 80 at least where I was in Dallas

KFC had a buffet in Paris Ky until the Trump virus hit but the best buffet was at Shoney ‘s breakfast buffet !
