- Till about a few years ago, not many people knew much about the Tadoba Tiger Reserve of Maharashtra…It was not in the itinerary of most serious wild lifers. In their pursuit of big striped cats, they would invariably head off to Ranthambore in Rajasthan…Kanha in Madhya Pradesh…Or Corbett in the foothills of Himalayas…So Tadoba remained a poor cousin of all these bigger and better known national parks.
Wilderness Days is a weekly program on wildlife and environment which is telecast on Doordarshan National and Epic Channel. Already, over 112 episodes have gone on air non-spot. The program captures the beauty of Indian wildlife as also various critical issues which affect our environment at large.

Wonderful documentary.. Much better than Discovery or National Geographic who are just running behind money..
And Tom voice in the video makes it great!!

Great Film & Tom Alter at his very best. Seems a must-visit after spectacular sightings. Tadoba is so popular for easy tiger sightings that its biodiversity enumeration has taken a back seat. Even the buffer has good sightings of the tiger and leopard. I hope tourism is well regulated like in Kanha National Park in MP.

(+)There are excellent facilities and resorts now.
(-)Also, I observed the speed of safari vehicles chasing animals has no control.
(-)They chase for spots and don't really care, if something may come in front of it.
