    We always do Disney Springs on our arrival day. We don't want to waste a park ticket, and DS gets us in that vacation mode without breaking the budget.

      @Jabroniville Před 6 měsíci +3

      Yeah, I do the same thing. It's great to get you into the "Disney Mood", sets you up for the crowds, and more. Plus it usually has the best quality food in the place.

    I always do Disney Springs on the first day- it feels like the perfect way to get into vacation mode, and I don't feel like jetting into Florida and then immediately falling asleep- I get in as early as I can and make a half-day out of the Springs. They scenery in goofy places like T-Rex & Rainforest Cafe is fun, there's the giant LEGO store, the big Disney Store, etc.- it's good to get in on all that merch early so you don't have to lug it around the parks or deal with them shipping things to your room. You can tell the Springs rule because even Disney Cast Members often go there on their days off, lol.

    As a local who visits frequently, I highly recommend the following restaurants (All information is based on 2 adults and a baby that picks off our plate):
    Most Budget Friendly - Chicken Guy (We like to get 5 pieces each and get an order of loaded fries. That's enough to give us leftovers for another day and it cost less than $30)
    American Style/Middle of the Road Pricing - Polite Pig (We both usually get one of the sandwiches alongside a side of mac and cheese, which costs us $45. The side of mac and cheese is worth the extra $5 so you will not regret getting it)
    Less Kid Friendly, More Adventurous, and Pricier - Chef Art Smith's Homecookin (The Church Lady Deviled Eggs are sooooo good and they have some unique foods alongside a good moonshine flight. Definitely share the moonshine flight with a 1 or 2 other people. Don't be surprised walking out paying $100 for an appetizer, 2 meals, and alcohol)
    Best Ice Cream - Swirls by the Water or the Vivoli il Gelato
    Other Best Dessert - Gideon's Bakehouse or the Coca Cola store floats

    Me, personally, I’d prioritize “The Art Corner” over “The Art of Disney” any day. I really like custom commissions and art prints are just not my cup of tea (I have a few prints but they are from my very niche anime and video game fandoms lol). Both stores are great in their own ways, but I like “The Art Corner” the best lol. This is still an amazing video, perfect for planning a Disney Springs day 🤗 Keep up the good work!

    I personally think The Walt Disney Company misses out huge with Disney Springs.
    The restaurants are good, but for shopping, if you pay attention, 90% of the foot traffic is on the Disney brand side, then the mall side with your day to day stores like Coach, LaCoste, Lily Pulitzer and those type places only get low amounts of people. There’s a reason for that. People go on Disney property to be immersed in the Disney brand. If they would make all the stores at Disney Springs Disney/Pixar/Star Wars/Marvel related, they would make way more money.
    The movie theatre should be a place you can see current and past Disney classics on the big screen. Not a traditional AMC theater. There are many people alive today who have never had the experience of seeing titles like Avengers, Star Wars, Cinderella, etc. in theatrical format. It would cost them very little to run and would be vast majority profit in ticket sales.
    The last place they’re missing out HUGE is the Disney Days of Christmas store. Which is relatively small and 99% ornaments. That store should be huge, with a wide array of ornaments, lights, merchandise, decor etc. It Should have a giant Christmas tree like several stories tall, it should be a store known the world over because of its magnificent decor, displays and layout. But instead it’s this little drab store on the far side of the property. It’s almost an afterthought because it’s basically the same as the little Christmas store at Magic Kingdom.
    Idk, if it were me making the choices, I’d level the whole Disney Springs property and start over.

    Random comment/ thought- I was wondering if there was a video planned to review Flamingo Crossings? I’m seeing that there are really good, suite-style Good Neighborhood hotels there, but wasn’t sure about dining and shopping and transportation! Does it compare to Disney Springs?

    From the Orlando area and love to go multiple times a year but I always tell people that this is the place to tell your toddlers that this is 'Disney World' without breaking the bank. Moreover, if you come here I'll give you the best advice in three words... Reservation... Reservation... Reservation! If you don't make a reservation you will have to fall back on the "fast food/cafeteria" options which are not necessarily bad but it's best to experience the finer options or even major chain restaurants like Planet Hollywood if you come here on vacation.

      I didn’t find it to bad. The polite pig did a polite Caesar and cobb salad and there was a taqueria ensalata at frontera cocina that was nice. A lot of the places do salad bowls. You can view all the menus online before you go to see the options and narrow it down from there. Hope you manage ok and have a great time.

    I’m sorry, but the only thing that Disney Springs has going for it is that there’s no entry fee. Otherwise, lines to eat anything can be epic (and no lightning lanes here); there is precious little to do for kids; the stores are so very expensive, and it’s a bunch of stores you can find anywhere; and it has just none of the magic of the parks themselves. Go once to see what I mean. I wanted to like it and I hated it.

    • @SR_20248
      @SR_20248 Před 3 měsíci

      That is honestly my impression (I haven’t been there so it’s just a guess) of Disney Springs but I am starting my first day of arrival there. Going to do pre-Disney shopping online at home and make reservations as early as possible on Opentable. I think it’ll be fun to window shop Disney only stores, grab a bite and checkout the Art Corner.
