Another amazing video!! Can you please tell me the Silverback's name of this family. He is amazingly tolerant of humans. Thank you for sharing!!! WOW!!!! My mistake...His name is in the title! UGH! LOL! Missed that, I looked him up. Thanks anyway and for sharing. Bweza seems like a very laid back and trusting Silverback. Amazing! ;-)

Thank you. Bweza is the silverback in the family. The family was named after that silverback. Being tolerant and always happy is why it was called bweza in local dialect . He is so amazing to watch.

@@adventurestogorillaafrica8425 , Yes, he is very tolerant and peaceful. I cannot imagine how incredible that was for this group having the Gorilla-Babies so close and wanting to play with them.
Also, the Mother is very tolerant also. Rare to see a Mom so comfortable seeing their babies grabbing humans without stepping in or calling them back. I'm thinking that maybe the Females follow the behaviors (lead) of Bweza, meaning, if Bweza appears calm and OK with the babies being so close and interacting with humans, the Mothers are OK too. We all know if Dad doesnt feel comfortable with Humans near the Family Troop, in seconds everything will change and then the Females will react according to the Silverback. If Dad is calm and OK with such closeness, the Females and Kids follow.
I adore Gorillas and they share our basic feelings, jealousy, grief, joy, anger, love and empathy. Yet, they are pure souls, untouched by the evil desires of man. They fascinate me with the power and strength they possess, yet, they are shy and avoid conflict and strive for peace. Such beautiful souls.
Thank you for sharing these wonderful videos. Gorillas are such Gentle souls and these videos prove that fact. Great job and please be safe on future travels. Keep sharing!!!
BTW, are you a person who just goes on Trekkings or are you someone who works for those companies? Just wondering. Thanks for the information and kind reply! Be safe ! ;-)

I visited a month or so ago with this same family, and while the baby didn't try to climb on us himself, several of the adults -- including this little one's mother with her baby on her back -- climbed right over my lap! So the whole troop seems pretty laid back about people.

@@norarivkis2513 , WOW!!! What an incredible experience that must have been!!! It is funny how they seem to do their thing and seems the human groups are just background noise to them. I know as they appear to be engaged in each other and not focused on the humans, we know the Silverback and Mom are always watching their babies.
I wish i was with you!! Do you have any videos or pictures of your visit there? Would love to see them!!
Thank you for sharing this information. I would love to go,but my back is bad and don't think I could handle the hours walking to find the families . ;-)

@@maryeddy4871 Yes, I do, but I don't know how to get them to you! I write a travel blog and did a whole column about the gorillas with photos, but I'm not allowed to cite the link to it in this comment. I think there's a CZcams rule to prevent spam, and I don't want to be spamming anyone, but I do want to be able to show you what you asked to see! Look up "Going Sideways blog, Impenetrable" and you'll probably find it! (It also talks about how to get there if you're not in physical shape to climb, which I wasn't either, incidentally. It's surprising how much help you can get if you need it.)
