You have been a mentor of mine throughout my lawn care businesses growth. You always change my attitude positively about something each time I watch
😃💯👍
Johnnie the people at Vortex OWE you fi dis top quality FREE advertising! No TV ad for any string trimmer could be this sensible, no gimmick, to the point. Thanks boss. Yuh really motivate mi wid ALL of yuh videos. 👍👍
Wow, thanks!
@@Bladesofgrasslawncare 👍respek
Perfect anxiety relief. Great video as always ❤❤
I appreciate it!
Steady, patient strumming and a great result. Tough work with it being long as well as heavily wet. Super work, Johnny 😀👍
I appreciate it!
The Rotary string is really good...leaves a clean cut and works good for sweeping large areas... Not gonna lie though, but I wish Lesco was still around...Their standard, round 095 was good stuff...5lb spool would last FOREVER..lol....one recommendation I have though,is next time you have a large area to sweep, try doing it walking backwards... IMO,it leaves a much better cut and mulches up the thatch much better,so there's less,to no need for cleanup👍
Thanks for sharing
I use Echo Black Diamond .95 & .105 trimmer line.
We were next door yesterday (Thursday) Glad we did. Woke up at 5:00 a.m. this morning pouring rain. 10:45 p.m. same day, as I'm watching this video, pouring again. Still rocking the Stihl CF3 Pro.
This rain is something else, not complaining but i cant wait for it to slow down some
@@Bladesofgrasslawncare Me too, at least it hasn't been as hot.
Vortex is good line. I don't know how some people get the idea that it is not. I get the sense that most of the negative reviewers are homeowners/Amateur 'pros'. I discovered it some 8 to 10 years ago in South Florida and have used it ever since. Quiet and a smooth cut.
😀👍
I have been using Rotary Vortex line for 3 yrs now,I got on to it by watching G Packard.i am still on the same 5lb stool, made here in Georgia & I like to support local businesses 👍🤓🇺🇸
Thanks for sharing
I 100 percent agree. This line is the best.
I've tried just about everything out there and this is by far the best I've used. Thanks for the videos!
Great to hear!
That’s the setup I use. Except I have the 94r. I have used this trimmer line for the last few seasons after taking your advice and until it fails me I’ll continue to use it. Oh and the grip is so helpful for me since I’m 6’1.
Glad to hear, thanks
That was a very big/long ditch you had to contend with. The trimmer line was very impressive. One pass was all you needed until you got to the really high/thicker grass. It still got the job done. Thanks for the demonstration. Have a great evening and weekend.💯❤️👍🏾✊🏾✝️🙏🏾🇺🇸
Thanks 👍
I always love your commentary during the videos. Always positive and uplifting. The only way to live 👍
I appreciate that
Johnny this is literally the best trimmer line I've ever used. Keep up the good work bro. 👍🏻
I’ve been using rotary for 2 seasons now. I actually switch back and forth between echo and rotary. The echo line, in my opinion is a finer cut and more delicate where the rotary is a little heavier duty and better for tuff jobs. Down side is it’s hard to see when spinning and it is much less forgiving.. in my opinion.
Thanks for sharing!
Johny my personal opinion is to keep guard on not for safety but to keep that line moving at maximum rpm it cuts cleaner faster opposed to cutting more at slower rpm with Alternatively leads to you going over it more times to create the same quality cut as the shorter string just my opinion!!!!! Maybe I just cut to much grass pop smoke man keep up the work at the end of the day do what you like and stay focused on what's best for you great video man!!!
😃👍
That use to be my favorite line. I still love it and I really like the way twisted line reduces drag on the motor @ high RPM’s allowing it to cut smooth. Is that a 95 or 105 ? 95 normally cut through tall grass better and 105 edge thick grass better. Great work by the way. I see your solo today also
This is the 95. Couldn't agree more!
I have tried that line on dry grass and edging I didn't like it. Now I have use piranha line by no mercy and love it.
👍
Looks like good stuff I Normally use is the Husqvarna 105 string but I'm going to give this 95 A try
😀👍
Thanks for listening to my suggestion about string trimming, great video! Keep up the great work man.
Thanks for the idea!
Yes Johnny I need to get some of that string. It lasts all the way through to the end. that is amazing!😮👍👍💯
It works man!
Have you compared the Vortex Rotary Black to the Echo Black Diamond? I have been curious if they are actually the same line. Never had a piece of each to compare. Love your work and your presentations. Always clean and clear.
I've used the ECHO Black Diamond and found it to be brittle and melted in the spool often just my experience, thanks
Thanks for your input, they must be different because I don't see those problems with the Vortex. Keep doing as you have.
The vortex line is good stuff for my style of trimming. The CF3 Pro is my all time favorite though. The Rotary Diamon Cut line is another good one that works very well for me. Not sure if the Diamond Cut would work very well for the grasses you deal with, but it’s deadly on cool season turf. Another great video! Thanks!
Thanks for sharing!
Great video and narrating. Going to try that line out.
Please do!
You do a good job no matter what trimmer line you use!
Thank you very much!
I really enjoyed your video. I like hearing about what people listen to or think about while they're working. I enjoy your channel and hope you have much success.
Awesome! Thank you!
They make it in .105..I had a sample of .95 and I liked it, it was decent on edging(except for the split..but it coulda been me) then for some reason the .105 didn't like stringy grass and long....105bd ate right thru it.
Thanks for sharing!
Great video! Any tips for starting a lawn care business? I'm 14 and want to start one once I turn 16 and can drive
Watch and learn as much as you can about how to run a business, anyone can mow 👍
Why is this so well working? Is this only because of the trimmer line? I use a Ryobi brushless and have the biggest problems with long thin grass. I have not yet tried this line.
Just bought a 5lb roll of black diamond 95. Havent been able to use it yrt but excited
Awesome!
Awesome vid. Grass isn't trummer lines enemy. Hard surfaces are. This stuff is very weak on surfaces like chain link etc. I have almost every line made lol. Some are better against hard surfaces then others. Thats how I compare them. How is the husky mower?
The mower is working fine, the only issue so far is the trottle location should be on the opposite side but nothing that I can't get used to, Great point!
@@Bladesofgrasslawncare I am honestly interested in buying one.Why I asked.been so interested in watching your experiences with it.i love how they are designed to nest with each other.saving tons of trailer space. But still on the fence. I ran them at gie.very nice
@@exterminator1 Maybe see if your dealer will give you a loaner for a couple of days, I'll be honest I definitely like mine
Like the movie Cool Hand Luke, "Where'd the road go?"
Kidding aside, it's amazing you didn't have to bump it once.👍
Good one!
I swear by the Husqvarna titanium force trimmer line but I think I’ll give this stuff a try! Another great video Sir!💪🏽
Cool, thanks
If you soak your trimmer line in water for about 48 hours it will reduce breakage. I cut off about 20 foot pieces and soak them for two days and it is a vast improvement on how long it lasts.
Good tip, thanks!
@@shanew7361 Not fake news at all.
@@shanew7361 I don't use hot water. I've been doing it for years and it lasts longer than string that is not soaked, period.
Stihl said:
STIHL USA Nylon is a hygroscopic material and if the line is stored in dry conditions, e.g. in a shed or a warehouse it can loose its moisture and therefore its flexibility, it can become stiff, brittle and break easily. Storing it for a couple of days in a closed bag with some added water at room temperature or higher will bring the line back closer to the original, more flexible condition and should significantly reduce breakage due to brittleness.
Muchas gracias por tus videos, quería hacerte una pregunta, ¿Cómo se llama ese mango aue usas en la desbrozadora y cual es su utilidad?.
Saludos desde Cantabria, España
That line is the .95 line right? Or you guys got the .105 one? I think they have a .105 version like the Echo Black Diamond. I've also heard that the .105 Echo Black Diamond is used by a lot of landscaping businesses. Saw a video that they were using it for 6 years after having tried many. It does look similar to the Vortex in color and twist with only the sharp edges being the difference with the echo.
Don't use the .95 as a test tho because heard the.105 echo black diamond was better than the.95
I have a question for you Johnny what type of weed wacker string are you using in your video like the video that I am watching now
Hi Johnny, love your content. I will have to give this line a try. We tried lots of different trimmer lines this year and my crews like the Oregon .95 Magnum Gatorline Round or Square. Keep up the great videos! Philip in Montana
👍
In one of the previous videos, you picked up a spool of trimmer line that appeared to be Maxpower Twisted (yellow in color) and put it in the trailer. I wanted to know your opinion of this line?
Great eyesight but they will be a video for that line soon
That string seems to be handling its business!!!
😃👍
Yess I've been waiting for pov trimming for so long 😂😂
😀👍
Oregon blue twist is good too
👍
Enjoyed the video 👍🏽
Awesome thank you!
Do you prefer this than the Oregon Gator Line?
🤔
I love that string trimmer line going to get me some I love the husqvarna
Awesome!
I love the black diamond
Awesome!
Another great vid! Do you happen to have an existing video where you discuss the gear you're wearing, , how it helps or hurts with the heat/sun rays and protects you from flying debris?

@@Bladesofgrasslawncare Thank you!
Btw Johnny fantastic broadcast today excellent commentary,,,I use vinyl coated steel cable,,,fast cutting,,and long life
Cool, thanks
Was gonna ask, Do you take off the guard at end of the weed wacker? I notice a lot of guys have that piece off, if so why and should I take mine off?
It's about your comfort with the trimmer. Liability will increase but also your productivity
I love your work so much 👍❤
You work is NICE
I appreciate it!
I've been running the piranha line and I'm not a big fan of it's short time it last. Feel like I'm filli the head more than I was with the redmax line. Where has Q been? Haven't seen him in a video in awhile
👍
How did you make that extra handle
You can buy it. theres a link in the video description
I ordered me one thanks a million
Awesome work...stay hungry....would've been interesting to how the battery powered equipment handled that workload...
Next time
Hola me encanta ver su vídeos pero el inglés lo llevó fatal podría de vez en cuando hacer alguno en español, gracias un saludo desde España.
Gracias!
Exactly what kind/model is that head you're using?
It's a STIHL head which comes with every trimmer
these Bud Light commercials are getting weird
😂😂😂👍
I'm impressed
👍
Hey Johnny I was wondering what camera you used and how you record your POV string trimming 🤔. Also keep up the good work!
I use a go pro, thanks!
I will do a video on the line I use now I was using piranha line now I'm use gator line silence twist .105
Looking forward to it
Love your vids man! Keep up the good work.
Glad you like them!
Shid so satisfying
😂👍
Talk about a torture test, glad it worked out for you! Are you going to switch brands now?
Not sure
Nice string
Glad you like it!
@@Bladesofgrasslawncare damn Johnny now I have to have 2 spools of string take care buddy
I don't know about your trimmer but around 7 minutes especially that's all I have to do on the one I had to get it to let a little bit out it's been about quite a bit but maybe you think different but most of them trimmers you don't have to smack her or hard especially if the line is not watered up on the inside of it then they're like it's supposed to be you just have to kind of barely shake it noodle come out and there was a few times before the 7-minute mark but especially after the 7-minute mark
🤔👍
@@Bladesofgrasslawncare no disrespect or anything you just kind of look like it still love watching you
Something is working!
👍
Where can I find those handles your using on your trimmer they are back helpers for sure
It's in the video description
Nice video brother. That looks like some good stuff. I really like the .095 Echo Crossfire line. Want to try the new STIHL 3pc line and see how it does. Keep it up brother👊👍!
Thanks 👍
Good video, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!

Thanks for the visit
Mr Johnny what is the name of that extension handle that you have on your weedeater
Really? did you watch the video 🤔😂
Great job Nice video 📹 👍
Thank you 👍
darwins comes in aluminum now much less weight
Where do you put your camera
Not saying 😂
I won’t laugh trust me😂
That was cool! TFS!
Wow! more than a thumbs up! Thanks for watching!
So starting around 7min I noticed that you bump trimmer head softly ?
Nah... Why would I lie?
Hate cutting grass when its wet
Part of the job
I just dont like to get my equipment wet it's so expensive
Ugly twist or ugly line is the beat I’ve used
👍
I grabbed an spool of the Ugly Twist in a rush at Lowe's. i was very impressed with it's break resistance. Do you know where a spool can be purchased?
RedMan78 I just get the regular thing of it at Lowe’s
I don’t know if it was the string or the machine/operator
🤔
Another good one ☝🏾
Thanks 💯
Where are you located
USA 🇺🇲
Why is there no guard on your weed trimmer ...? Most lawn guys never have a guard on it.. i wonder why??
Personal preference
Just try it and you will see why, and you will not use it again.
How do you cut the line? Idk I always used the guard ..
Thats one good thing you can have a longer line that doesnt keep getting cut every time you bump the head. Every time you bump the head the line gets waisted because it gets cut with that guard on it
You will never put that guard back on once you try it Pop 💨 got me doing it with out the guard.
you don't support Oregon anymore?
Why? because i'm using something different?
I've seen at least one CZcams video trashing this line. Watching that video is weird because pretty much everything he says is directly opposite to what I've experienced. Vortex is the only line I have on my trailer and has been for the last three seasons.
🤔👍
I need to find a line I can use along my privacy fence that doesn’t break off every few planks
This may be the one 🤔
Blades of Grass Lawn Care, LLC I’ll have to give it a shot. Apparently Walmart carries it.
Or echo black diamond 105
Try Husqvarna Titanium Pro. I used Echo Black Diamond .95 for about a year. Then I tried the husqvarna titanium pro and haven’t gone back to Echo’s line. I use an Echo PAS-2620 to weed eat btw
Martin Manriquez if you use 105 it doesn’t break I have used it on minor brush by a lake didn’t have to bump once
45 bucks
👍
Hello
🖐
I see that guard is still off😃
Yup!
👌🏽
👍
Run your mower perpendicular to ditch. No more hand trimming.
On your head?
🤔
Strimming not strumming!!! Sorry
😂👍
