one thing i agree is opportunities are less because there is no design work offloaded to india as compared to coding offloaded ... as our field is governed more by local laws and design codes. Still some MNCs are offering good job profiles. IF more companies come to india job opprtunities may improve.....I agree now there are many filelds which give better renumeration.. but not sure of longterm career as such in thease..

First my best wishes to Mr. P Patel, I am also civil engineer having +25 yrs exp, i do agree lot of efforts to put in. I strongly say this branch has versatile in nature. One can become contractor, consultant and start business of selling hardware or sanitary products in any place in India. Secondly any body can get local municipal license to certify the drawings and keep in contact town and country planning dept. And any body wishes to change the trade they can change after Diploma/Degree immediately. Please see the outside market is in the hands of uneducated people, so being diploma/degree student anybody can become Entrepreneur. Be positive !!

ESE has 50 seats for general and GATE has around 30 seats. No point beating a dead horse. Crack exams like SSC JE, BPSC AE and get into a job. There is a lots of Constructions company where the people are getting the high packages. The bridge and the Highways are one of them only you have to be a proper experience...... I know there is the number of Engineering graduates passing every year but most of them are not skillful to get an appropriate job according to their degrees. But if you have a proper skilled regarding the fundamentals of civil engineering that will be beneficial in a practical sense then it will be more chance to get a job in private sector. Rajhasthan has been conducting it for 3 years consecutively...
MAHARASTRA notification will come this year...So if ur state does not conduct it regularly, try in a neighbouring state
Yeah, I accept it is an exhaustive exam, and sometimes irregular with results, so brother...DID I SAY TO COMPLETELY DEPEND ON THAT EXAM??
DID I SAY THAT U SHOULD COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN ALL THE OPPORTUNITIES OTHER THAN THIS EXAM??
AE and JE exams have pattern same as that of ESE...so, u r not preparing for it seperately...it is very much like it ( 90%)
      And for ur Coding Obsession...
If u want to learn coding and get into IT sector, great .....
But, What if Somebody doesnt want to be in IT Sector?
What if someone wants to make use of his Core Branch Learning....
The kind of respect AE gets within his state ...is unmatched with any Coder working in a cubicle Even if he earns more than AE ( Except if u get placed in Google or microsoft 😅, thats different)
It is just an option you should keep in ur Mind....and not completely depend on it...that os what I am saying...
And First Keep urself Updated (You Specially)
