Yes, this route has improved a lot except for bottlenecks like Piduguralla, Adankki, etc. But I suppose bypass roads are getting built. Anyway once Surat-Chennai expressway is built, it will the fastest road as we can join the road at Kurnool

Had travelled in the first week of September. We carried final vaccination certificate but it was not checked at any place. Regarding Covid Care, it is better to take break at restaurants which are less crowded. Hotel Vivera at Narketpally, Hotel Kinnera between Gudur and Naidupeta, are spacious and well maintained bathrooms. Reliance petrol bunks are less crowded and have neat bathrooms. Most important to have masks on, everytime we get out of the car. Hope this helps.
