This is so cool bantu knots were my mom's go to hair style for my big sister. I got to see me sister walk through a season of bad hair days getting picked on by other girls for being natural never having a perm. Fast forward over the past 15 plus years natural hair has become so ICONIC its a political, cultural, and revolutionary community that has swept not only across CZcams but the nation. It empowers black women to be themselves through their hair. The community that surrounds natural hair is like family there's good bad and ugly.However, the Good outweighs the bad every time. Love you sis.

That's gon' be fire when you take it down. Hard to sleep on, though. You're gonna have to sleep with your face in your hands or on your pillow.
I remember my first experience in a salon where NO ONE looked like me. It makes a world of difference for that representation of skilled workers who are familiar and phenomenal with styling our hair textures and thicknesses. I'm impressed and intrigued. That looked sooooo relaxing. 💆🏾♀️👸🏾🤗
I told a friend of mine who is black that I was getting my hair done in a roller set. It was the first time a black woman had worked on my hair (which has its own funky in between texture), and she was working the salon sola that day, and I told my friend "I had never had my hair or my head jerked or pulled so much!" She said "girl, I didn't know it was possible to get your hair done without your head being jerked and pulled!" Goes to show you, we've known each other 30 years and yet....😅
@@LindaC616 LOL I'm sorry you went through that! There are stylists out there that take special care not to harm your scalp in the beautification process of your hair. Hopefully, you'll encounter such a pro. (I've experienced both.)
@@LatashaTrueHeart no worries! I should have specified that it was the first time I had had my hair pulled like that by a *stranger*. There were days when Mama with braid my hair for school and she was mad at dad for something, let me tell you...🤣
She was just rushed because there was no one else in the salon with her that Sunday. And I was getting the roll set because I was taking a trip, and hoping that getting the fuzz out of my hair and sleeping with it coiled might keep the fuzz out of it for most of the trip.
